Despite the well orchestrated hype used to promote Miley Cyrus‘ new LP ‘Bangerz’, the last week brought with it the album’s unimpressive first week sales, saying very little of the media coverage and YouTube views her fans had hoped would see her rival the likes of Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift.

This week, the ‘entertainer’ finds herself in hot water thanks to remarks she allegedly made during an interview with ‘Hunger’ magazine.

Why she just may have whipped up an anti-semitic storm?

With her new album in ‘Prism’ due out on October 18th, a charismatic Katy Perry ‘roared’ her way to NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live‘, gracing the series as a musical guest alongside Bruce Willis– who engaged in many a hilarious skit.

How she fared on a vocal tip? Far better than she usually does, despite struggling to breathe the necessary sass her ‘Walking on Air‘ choreography called for oh so badly.

When you’re music superstar Jennifer Hudson it’s inevitable you’ll turn heads on any red carpet.  So, in keeping true to form, the ‘Where You At’ wailer was spotted this week at the Chicago Film Festival in promotion of her new film ‘The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister & Pete’.

Miami dance machine Jason Derulo is still riding high on the critical acclaim of his third album ‘Tattoos’.

Stamping three singles on the Billboard Hot 100 from the September released set – ‘The Other Side’, ‘Talk Dirty’, and ‘Marry Me’ – now Derulo is looking to blow a fourth single to the top of charts in the form of ‘Trumpets’.

Judging the hopefuls are  Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger,  Louis Walsh, and returning panelist Sharon Osbourne.

Well, it’s pretty safe to say if you weren’t in love with this song before now, this version should have your ear bought and sold.  This cover simply drowns you in a glorious wave of intricate harmony – all the way down to the instrumentation.

Adding a level of energy to the tune that the original lacks, it’s also refreshing to hear a cover of the song that there is actual…umm…singing.  Go Pentatonix!

With a starring role in the brand new movie ‘The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete‘, the ever stunning Jennifer Hudson made her way to ‘Chelsea Lately’ to open up on the moving movie…and a whole lot more.

The more? Well, in flaunting her sense of humour, Hudson revealed how she reacted upon learning of the substance abuses’ more ‘arousing’ side effects and took the time to express her love for recent collaborator Pharrell Williams.
