Let’s be honest…how many of Justin Timberlake‘s contemporaries ten years ago can say they’re just as successful today as they were back then.

When you take Beyonce and Britney out of the equation, that leaves very few- and now, days before his latest album is set to secure sales of over half a million units in its launch week, he extends his current reign with a visit to BET‘s ‘106 & Park‘.

Pushing the album to its Urban audience,  the former N’Sync frontman dished  on the process behind crafting the album, the aforementioned Bey  and what the future holds for his ever potent brand.

This week’s That Grape Juice Cover Star comes from Youtube songbird Jouelle.  Watch as she shines with her cover of ‘Body Party’ –  the latest single from Ciara‘s highly anticipated 5th album ‘One Woman Army’ (start at :30):

Sang Jouelle!  We definitely give kudos to the songstress for putting her own soulful spin on Ciara’s softly sung number.  Opting to inject a bit more melisma and “umph” into the tune than its seductively cooed original, Miss Young put on display an instrument somewhat reminiscent of Elle Varner‘s (in part).

Yes, a few missed lyrics and misfired runs here and there, but what shines through is Young’s undeniable potential.  Overall, a fairly solid showing!

Jessie J went above and beyond for charity today when she shaved her head to raise funds for this year’s ‘Comic Relief’ festivities. Undoubtedly marking one of the boldest moves any of her contemporaries has made for a good cause, she explained:

“It’s the weirdest feeling, It feels so liberating. Shaving my head for charity is something I’ve promised to do for a long time and Comic Relief has given me the opportunity to try and raise as much money as possible for good causes by doing it.

“I’ve loved watching Red Nose Day since I was a kid and I’m so excited to join this year’s team of celebrity  fun raisers and help support the campaign. Together with help from the UK public, we are on a mission to raise more money than ever before for Red Nose Day.”

The good people of Philadelphia were the latest to witness Rihanna‘s ‘Diamonds’ stage outing last night, marking her first audience since announcing she was suffering from laryngitis.

We wish we could say that they got their money’s worth and witnessed a live show worthy of the singer’s name, but that dear friends….would be a low down dirty lie.

In fact, if footage of her performing her song ‘What Now’ is anything to go by, some could be forgiven for asking why they bothered to purchase tickets to the show in the first place, taking her ‘drunk girl chic’ performance style and inconsistent voice into account.

Justin Bieber lends his ever improving vocals to Will.I.Am‘s new single ‘That Power‘, pulled from the latter’s April 2013 release, ‘#willpower‘.

Recorded in the city of London, the overproduced number samples the Daft Punk classic ‘Harder‘ and arrives weeks after Will watched his Britney Spears led ‘Scream & Shout’ dominate charts across the globe, spearheading the campaign for her own forthcoming album.
