Despite sharing a label in Jimmy Iovine‘s Interscope and an alleged former manager in Bob Leone, it seems there was a time that Lady GaGa and Lana Del Rey were anything but kindred spirits.

For, in a track recorded in 2009 named ‘So Legit’, Rey takes a wicked aim at the heart of GaGa’s cause, referring to an incident which Lana claims saw she and friends boo the Pop icon during a performance in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Ariana Grande‘s catchy tunes and four octave vocal range have seen her become the year’s biggest breakout star.

With latest single ‘Baby I’ blowing up on iTunes, the 20-year-old star stopped by Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Power 106 to promote the track.

During the fun-filled interview, Grande revealed that rapper Big Sean will feature on her hotly anticipated album ‘Yours, Truly’. After professing her love for the G.O.O.D Music star’s material, the show’s host threw down a challenge to rap her favourite Sean track — a challenge she accepted.

Yesterday was supposed to bring with it the release of Mariah Carey‘s fourteenth studio album ‘The Art Of Letting Go’. However, as reported, the premium diva has yet master the art – instead pushing back the project to ensure it’s “just right”. 

This, though, hasn’t halted her hustle when it comes to the LP’s lead single ‘#Beautiful’. A moderate hit (which peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100), the track easily serves as Mimi’s biggest success in years; a fact which likely explains why she’s milking it for all its worth.

In new audio update for fans (recorded on the day ‘Letting Go’ was supposed to hit stores), the mother of two explains that not only is she still hard at work on the album, she’s gearing up to debuted even more remixes of its breezy first offering (she’s already released more than five).

Due November 11th, the project’s lead single arrives August 19th.

Three long years have passed since Jazmine Sullivan blessed the charts with her sophomore set ‘Love Me Back’; sadly the LP’s title would go on to prove ironic following so-so sales and a premature pulling of the promotional plug.

Fast forward to today and the climate looks altogether different for the soul-filled songstress.

Having honed her image and side-stepped onto another Sony Music label RCA (she was previously signed to the now-dissolved J Records) , Sullivan is hard at work on her third studio album.

The ‘Lions, Tigers, & Bears’ singer has maintained a silence of sorts about the as yet untitled set, however this morning saw her share a snippet of a new song.

However, it was two three year old twins Jessie & Joi who showcased their dedication to the star when they put on a live performance of her ‘Schoolin’ Life’, the uplifting number pulled from her double Platinum album ‘4’.

As is often the case with producers as influential as he is, the world will struggle to appreciate just how groundbreaking Timbaland‘s work is until we’re a decade or so removed from it.
