In celebrating its 55th anniversary this month (August 4th) Bill Werde‘s ‘Billboard Hot 100‘ have released a tally naming their ‘Biggest Hits of All Time‘, ranking each and every cut released between 1958 and now using its performance on competitive chart.

Counting down from #100, the list you’ll see below takes several chart rules changes into account, and sees each song earn its place with the context surrounding it in place…ie, streaming data counting towards week by week sales on the chart.

In adding to this, songs that spent the most weeks at #1 on the list and afforded the greatest value, which – in some cases- may see their rankings surprise you.

If you haven’t heard Ne-Yo’s latest offering ‘R.E.D‘, consider yourself unfortunate.

Sure, while it may have used a Dance number to push its cause, the album is home to many a stellar R&B jam.

One of which- ‘Should Be You’- should have been joined ‘Let Me Love You’ as a dual release to dominate Urban and Top 40 respectively before the LPs release.

Alas, no good crying over spilled milk- and it was that sentiment the star took when he rocked ‘Good Morning America‘ with a performance for their Summer Concert series.

Why we’re calling it a must see?

A genius at work below…

August 27th marks the spot for Big Sean’s new album, ‘Hall of Fame’– the album many are hailing as his best piece of work to date.

Today, he unleashes the beast that is his new video ‘Fire‘, featuring ‘The Climb’ performer  Miley Cyrus, both under the direction of Mathew Williams.

Stunning to say the least, the video will no doubt be used to push sales of the new album, hopefully enjoying a run akin to J.Cole‘s ‘Born Sinner‘, and Drake‘s ‘Nothing Was The Same‘….due out one month later.

Alas, while the bulk of her time with the mag saw her keep it light, bright and beautiful, things took an interesting turn when the ‘Prism‘ Princess was quizzed on her relationship with fellow singer Rihanna.

Before being forced to end the tour recently, Frank Ocean arrived at Melbourne’s Festival Hall to serve as one of the last nights of the ‘You’re Not Dead Tour‘.

While there, the high baritone performed his Andre 3000 assisted ‘Pink Matter‘, marking one of the night’s many highlights.

Nicole Scherzinger makes it far too easy to love her.

After teasing an Urban Pop new album last week, the star employed her ever impressive voice hours ago- lending it to Francis Scott Key‘s ‘Star Bangled‘!

Performing the anthem at  Dodgers vs. Yankees game, her performance saw her wow her audience with the range we hope to hear on her new LP, gliding through the cut with an admirable ease.

Check her out below!

Ariana Grande and her team are playing approximately no games with her debut album ‘Yours, Truly’. Well, at least, not anymore.

Having whipped up an amiable buzz with gems ‘The Way’ and ‘Baby I’, the project encountered its first (and hopefully, only) hurdle this week when its official covered was ripped to shreds by fans and critics alike for reasons we’d rather not delve into (the comments HERE will help fill the blank, though).

It’s common knowledge, love it or loathe it, that image and perception are everything in today’s industry. Hence, it’s warming to see Ms. Grande’s team heeded the suggestion of the masses to change the cover.

The shot above was unveiled on Instagram moments ago, simply baring the caption:

 “Official album artwork :)”

Brisk, swift, and effective, kudos to her team for nipping the nonsense that was the previous artwork in the bud. There’s no shame in having a plan B. Indeed, we can think of a number albums that should have done the same.

‘Yours, Truly’ hits stores on September 3rd. Listen to its latest single after the jump…

Brit-Pop fans rejoice!

For, not only are Mutya Keisha Siobhan back in a literal capacity, they are sonically stronger than ever as evidenced at their sell-out comeback gig last night.

The trio (who first rose to prominence as the original line-up of the Sugababes) rocked London’s Scala with a stellar set that whet appetites aplenty for their first album in over 10 years.

Given the…interesting….history that accompanies the “Sugababes” narrative (one best summed up with the words “revolving” and “door”), many have wondered whether MKS would re-tread material released by other incarnations of the band during their re-introduction.

The answer was an emphatic “yes”, with the ladies serving up must-see showings of ‘Babes favourites such as ‘Freak Like Me’ and ‘Stronger’. Also present on the setlist were the gems this line-up released under the Sugababes moniker (‘Overload’ and ‘Run For Cover’).

Yet while there was an air of retrospective during the show, the focus was very much on the future – more specifically the group’s new LP. The project’s lead single ‘Flatline’ received its debut live showing, while the previously teased ‘Boys’ was also performed. Another new cut titled ‘I’m Alright’ proved quite the crowd pleaser.

So what are you waiting for? Check out MKS in action after the jump!
