The self-proclaimed ‘Queen of All Media’ Wendy Williams edges one-step closer to validating that claim as reports have surfaced indicating the talk show diva has had her show renewed to 2017.
Seeing substantial growth in ratings over the past year (an estimated 81,000 a day more than last season‘s), the Hollywood Reporter informs of key facts that led to the show’s three year renewal.
“Wendy‘s renewal comes on the heels of a year of ratings growth for the syndicated talker, especially among the key demographic group of women 25-54. The show grew 43 percent in the past year, according to Debmar-Mercury (a division of Lionsgate). That gave it a 1.2 rating and 8 percent share of the daytime metered markets.”
Congratz are in order to the diva who is not only developing reality and game shows via her own production company, but is also prepping for a stint on Broadway’s “Chicago” (starting June 25).
