‘We asked D.Woods to come to the reunion…’
When Urban Pop group Danity Kane wowed fans by reuniting weeks ago, there was no denying the elephant in the room that was D.Woods’ absence.
So, as to explain why her former group member wasn’t there, Dawn Richard caught up with the guys over at Pacific Rim for short but detailed conversation into what really happened.

Wether they invited her or not it really doesnt matter. Wanita is not needed… Period. She has been very clear that she was over DK and did not want a reunion. I see that Dawn is basically saying it was just lunch but there are pictures of them meeting the next day and Aubrey saying on IG that she was headed to a business meeting. They will be just fine without Wanita.
I love dawn but her face looks like wtf. It’s the make up and whatever they are doing is making her look hard. She’s beautiful as is!

There’s not girl group out right now, they don’t have Diddy in their asses anymore, and they have buzz. Get on it, pull a DC, do solo a bit, then a group album and then back to solo and so on. I get D.Wood can’t just drop what’s she already doing, either can Dawn, they just need to make a 2 year plan.
DAWN is the ONLY 1 in that group that matters, the rest-NEXT! DAWN stay SOLO boo, love everything u have put out thus far……

Now I love Dawn and I love how geunine she is and how heartfelt her responses always are. But the fact of the matter is, stop feeding this “we’ll see” bs. Shes keeps saying we’ll see what the ppl want, and its all about what the ppl want. Girl, youre not dumb. You ALL know that the ppl want a DK Reunion an NOW! You knew that from the get go and especially after the lunch went into viral mode. Aubrey has already alluded to a reunion in the works. It just gets annoying when artists beat around the bush to stuff that actually matters, which is the MUSIC. No ones thinking of the drama or personal lives. We just want this reunion thing to happen and know its gonna happen so the “idk, we’ll see” crap is unnecessary. But I still love Dawn lol.
I hear ya. I personally prefer to stay solo. She’s a dope solo artist, but I think she’d do it just because. Destiny’s Child used to do an album, then go solo, then get back together, so it’s possible. For DK to come back, they need to be signed, it’s easier to be independent as a solo artist than as a girl group.
Dawn has no idea how hostile and cold she can come across. She harbors way too much anger and hostility in that Chris Brown ‘I’m the victim’ kind of way without even realizing she does. I actually like her music but I do not like what I see in her personality some times.
Don’t talk about being positive and humble if you’re not about that.
