As the music industry waits with bated breath for Beyonce‘s new single, brand partners Pepsi have unveiled another promotional shot of the singer.

The image, which tributes artist Andy Wahol, is the latest snap to surface ahead of the drink’s giant’s full-on media blitz in support of King B’s 5th studio album (due in April).

With a stated view to ensure the project is the Grammy winner’s “biggest yet”, the multi-national are sponsoring ‘The Mrs Carter Show’ world tour, funding music videos, and are (from next month) issuing special edition cans and bottles with the singer’s image on them…

Needless to say, with $50 million being leveraged towards the project, it’s smart guessing that Pepsi Bey will feature prominently on many a Forbes list this year. More power to her.

In the more immediate, though, can we get the single already?! Or at least an announcement of its pending arrival. Kai.

Indeed, there are few better words employable when describing music industry veteran Clive Davis.

Famed for steering the careers of megastars such as Whitney Houston, attention has rarely veered away from his gargantuan achievements. However, in a surprising move, the 80 year old has himself shared part of his private life in new memoir ‘The Soundtrack Of My Life’. Davis has revealed that he is bisexual — and has been in a long-term relationship with a man.

Prince Michael Jackson, son of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, is indeed following in his famous father’s footsteps in his pursuit of the entertainment industry.  However, as this week will prove, the young Jackson is looking to make his mark on a different side of the lens.

Lending his talents to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, today saw the announcement of the 16-year-old’s new gig as media correspondent.  While it is yet known how often he will contribute, Prince is certainly hoping this is just the beginning of his love affair with media as he’s quoted saying:

“I’m looking to become well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor.”

Time will certainly tell if he gets there, but given his family history of successful acts, we’re sure he doesn’t have much to worry about.

The snap above could not be more fitting for the succeeding story as the last month has seen New York-bred beauty Azealia Banks serve (and be served) a seemingly neverending platter of beef.

From newcomer Angel Haze to Perez Hilton and other highly documented showdowns, the ‘Van Vogue’ vixen has definitely dished a dollop of PR disasters that seem to grow in number weekly.

Now, after the backlash received from last week’s renewed tweet beef with Hilton, a recent interview saw Banks come to her own defense in a tirade aimed at gays rights organizations and sensitive readers.  Read the rapstress’s rant below:

While there is no denying Ms. Fenty’s stunner status, her record sales remain subject of ample debate. Put simply, she simply is not selling what the “power in her name” demands that she should or could be. Indeed, four months after the release of her latest LP ‘Unapologetic’, the ‘Diamonds’ led set has shifted 679,500 copies in the US. “Decent” given the current sales climate, yet shocking when considering that many of her chart rivals sell this in the first week (see: Lady GaGa, Beyonce, Adele).

Clearly, it’ll take more than fierce magazine covers and flaunting a relationship that is ‘Nobody’s Business’ to upgrade her from a singles artist to one who shifts albums. Slowly but surely, ay?
