Kelly Rowland joined ‘Vicious Lies’ singer Big Boi for a special TV appearance this morning, when they performed their collaborative hit ‘Mama Told Me‘ on ‘The View’ this morning.

Rousing their audience with a lively take on the inspiring jam, their performance gave us no choice but to give the rest of Big’s new LP a listen to see if it lived up to the single’s hype. Fortunately for us, it did.

Beyonce started this week off with a bombastic bang – thanks largely to Pepsi.

The drinks giant announced a multi-million/multi-year partnership with the superstar, which kicks off early next year to coincide with the release of 31 year old’s hotly anticipated new album.

Now, in an intriguing new interview with Billboard Biz, Pepsi – by way of Global Chief Marketing Officer Frank Cooper – outline the intricate details of their pairing with the ‘Single Ladies’ singer – one, they say, is aimed at ensuring her 5th album is “the most successful global album that she’s ever done”.

Father and son, Will Smith and Jaden Smith, are gearing up for their latest theatrical outing ‘After Earth’.

The Sci-Fi flick is due in cinemas globally on June 7th 2013. And so as to tide movie-goers over, its trailer has been released today. Check it out above and peep the full synopsis below. Zoe Kravitz and Sophie Okonedo also star.

“In After Earth, one thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind’s new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige (played by Will Smith) returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai (played by Jaden Smith). 

“When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai’s craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.”

Looking like a bag of money and good living, Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z were snapped leaving the Soho Beach Club in Miami last night.

Fresh from hanging out at the Art Basel earlier in the day with Kelly Rowland, the pair reunited with Bey’s Destiny’s Child bandmate and hitmaker The-Dream for the dinner date.

Though due next year, Beyonce‘s fifth studio album is already the hottest topic on the lips of many, thanks in part to her upcoming Super Bowl performance, newly announced Pepsi deal, as well as a docu-movie on HBO.

More than anything, though, it’s the secrecy surrounding the project that has anticipation boiling to fever pitch. However, bit by bit information surrounding the actual music is beginning to treacle out. Indeed, the last few weeks have seen the involvement of The-Dream, Miguel, among others confirmed.

Now, hitmaker Ne-Yo has revealed that he too is about to start cooking up material for the budding icon.
