In a bid to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump, Ke$ha has been aggressively promoting her new album ‘Warrior’. Indeed, the rap-singer’s campaign has seen her touch many a stage in support of the set, which arrived in stores this week and was preceded by chart smash ‘Die Young’.

And while today brought with it another performance on the ‘Conan O’Brien Show’, it also ushered in the first week sales predictions for what many have earmarked one of the year’s biggest Pop releases.

She’s Pop’s fastest rising starlet, but before dominating the charts with her brand of stylized Rock Pop, Rita Ora was an aspiring entertainer growing up in the affluent neighbourhood of Ladbroke Grove, West London.

Starring in 2004’s Brit flick ‘Spivs’ aged just 14, it would be four more years before she caught the eye of Rihanna creators Jay Z & Jay Brown, who signed her to the force that is Roc Nation.

So, with her star rising with every #1 single she scores, she opened up on her childhood with CBBC’s ’12 Again’, detailing what she describes as a ‘tomboyish’ past and her admiration of Beyonce‘s 2003 smash hit, ‘Crazy In Love‘.

Telling the story of ‘Ebenezer Snoop‘, the animated flick sees the Rapper confronted by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. The latter, played by the ‘Radioactive‘ Pop sensation.

For many a Pop fiend, Usher‘s 18 year chart reign has made him an ever present/welcome force in the world of music- just as influential today as he was upon the launch of his self titled debut.

Now, in what is a testament to his ability to both spot and craft a hit, his smash hit single ‘Climax’ has been named the Top Song of 2012 by ‘Time’ Magazine.

“Sell outs”.

Ask hip hop’s reigning highnesses – Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott, and Nicki Minaj – and they can attest to being titled such at some point in their illustrious careers (the latter more than her rap predecessors).

Indeed, in the heavily male-dominated genre of rap, trying to “hang with the boys” has either constituted hypermasculinization or explicitly detailing bedroom antics.  Either way, rap’s estrogenic entities have had to take the extreme route often to little notoriety…

As one third of Brit trio ‘NDubz’, ‘Sight Of You’ star Tulisa enjoyed three UK Top Ten albums and an impressive 7 Top Ten singles- catapulting the band to the forefront of the market’s Pop scene.

However, since parting ways with the group and joining ITV’s ‘X Factor UK‘, the singer’s public image and the career built around it has failed to live up to expectations-  despite the benefit of the show’s ratings and notoriety

Now, following the failure that was her second single ‘Live It Up’, her brand is on course to crash and burn once again. This time, via her debut album, ‘The Female Boss’.

Festive diva Mariah Carey continued to live up to her billing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon early this morning.

Making a surprise appearance on the show, the 42 year old turned in a unique rendition of her Holiday classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ – backed by host Fallon, house-band The Roots, and a choir of children, all of which used classroom instruments.
