With 18 days left till the release of ‘Unapologetic‘, Rihanna took a break from recording last night to hit the West Hollywood Halloween Parade, dressed in ‘all black everything’.

Given the key to the city by mayor John Duran, the singer was crowned the ‘Queen Of West Hollywood’ at the event- held on La Cienega Boulevard.

Now, this is black star power!

As previously reported, 2013 is set to debut the star-studded, playwright/director David E. Talbert film ‘Baggage Claim’ starring Tia Mowry, Trey Songz, Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Paula Patton, Octavia Spencer, and more.

Much like the ensemble cast of 2012’s ‘Think Like A Man’, the highly anticipated comedy has assembled some of black America’s best and brightest and as new reports indicate, the assembly is not quite complete.  For now, TV personality Terrence J and singers Jill Scott and Christina Milian have joined the already star-studded cast!

The reports surface shortly after Scott’s last try at film, Lifetime’s ‘Steel Magnolias’ remake, was announced to be a ratings winner – giving the channel one of its highest viewed showings ever.

Roc Nation star Rita Ora continued her US push tonight with a show-stopping performance on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’.

The high-profile slot is the latest in a long line of American dates lined up for the Londoner, who is presently on US promotional tour. A trek we assume is more about generating awareness rather than sales, given that the Stateside version of her debut LP ‘Ora’ arrives next year with all-new songs.

‘Crazy’ singer Cee Lo Green is calling recent sexual assault allegations against him just that – crazy.  Indeed, the ‘The Voice’ judge has been the center of sexual assault charges brought against him by a Los Angeles woman in recent weeks.

While Green vehemently denies being anywhere near the location in question, the eclectic singer’s camp is also defending him claiming to have never seen the hitmaker act out physically toward anyone.  However, this contradicts reports that surfaced in 2001 when the ‘Forget You’ crooner was arrested for misdemeanor charges of “simple assault (family violence) and disorderly conduct” against his then wife.

The action allegedly caused the two’s divorce in 2004 where the ex-wife cited “mental and physical cruelty”.

As ever, That Grape Juice will give you more on this story as it develops (source).

For an artist as talented as JoJo, it beggars belief that she is still climbing the ranks. Sadly, despite being more than qualified  for chart superstardom, the Pop powerhouse has seen industry politics delay the release of her long awaited 3rd album.

However, proving that her voice can’t be silenced, the Boston beauty has announced that she is cooking up another mixtape for her fans.

Ironically, taking her so so vocals into account, Rihanna‘s global success is and always has been routed from her music.

Sure, though her ‘wild and stylishly reckless’ gimmick may keep her more loyal fans tuned in, it’s her ever infectious brand of premium Pop that leaves the world coming back for more time and again.

Unfortunately for her, the same can’t be said for her endeavors outside of the singles chart, forcing many to question how lucrative her brand actually is, when compared to those held by her closest rival, Beyonce.

Not sure what we mean?

Her reality show ‘Styled To Rock’ has been axed, following record breaking ratings lows and a production billed ‘nightmarish’.

Mariah Carey got in the festive spirit last week, celebrating Halloween with her husband Nick Cannon and ‘Dem Babies‘.

Dressed as Goldilocks, the icon was joined by her three bears in the snap above which arrived earlier on today, and marks the latest intimate pic she has shared with fans.
Last Halloween, she shared even sweeter pictures of the family dressed as Disney characters, ‘The Incredibles’.

Let’s hope she spreads just as much as love when ‘American Idol’ hits US screens in January.

Here’s what it is:

Brandy, by way of fan support, renewed public interest and the strength of her material, stands tall as one of 2012’s most celebrated acts.

Welcoming the release of her R&B driven studio album ‘Two Eleven’ two weeks ago, both she and her team went to great lengths before its launch to ensure the project debuted favorably in the US.

Now in its second week of release, ‘Eleven‘ holds a top ten position at #10, with 20,879 sold since last week , pushing its total US figure to 87,735 units sold. This now means it’s only 12,265 copies away from hitting the 100,000 mark- a commendable feat to be scored three weeks in.

Of course, while that may seem a little abysmal to some, we’d say it sets the tone for what is set to become a slow but consistent sales push for the project, which some are now making the mistake of writing off.

So, in a climate seemingly hostile to Contemporary R&B, just how could Team Brandy push ‘Two Eleven‘?

Our answer to that question below…
