Soulful songstress Solange is back.

As previously reported, the eclectic singer-songwriter announced ‘Losing You’ as the lead single from her eagerly awaited third studio album. And, as if anticipation wasn’t at fever-pitch, the 26 year old seconds ago released a trailer of sorts for the song and/ or its video – which has a confirmed iTunes date of October 2nd (via Terrible Records).

 Despite earlier fears by members of her fan base, Ciara‘s campaign for her latest single ‘Sorry’ has proven to be all kinds of successful.

Taking to a number of premium urban outlets to push sales for the cut, this week saw her grace DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45 with an upbeat interview.

An interview, which saw her showcase the personality much of the public find themselves falling in love with again.

That Grape Juice was on-hand at the 2012 Soul Train Awards nominations announcements in New York today. There, the list of those up for coveted awards were read out to selected press outlets.

Without pre-empting too much too soon, most notable of the nominees are R. Kelly and Usher. For, this year’s tally sees both break Soul Train records. With five nominations, Usher blazes past Michael Jackson and Beyonce to earn the honor of most nominations in a single year, while Kelly now boasts the most total Soul Train Award nominations – of all time.

This, days after she enjoyed multiple nods upon the release of the 2012 EMA nominations tally, launched before the arrival of her seventh studio album.

TGJ went to see Spike Lee’s documentary ‘BAD 25’ recently and picked up a poster screen signed by Spike to ‘Numero Uno MJ Fan in the UK’ and now we’re offering one lucky reader the chance to win it!

With 49 days left to the US Presidential Election, Beyonce and Jay Z showed their support for President Obama by hosting a fundraiser for his political cause last night.

Held at the latter’s 40/40 Club in NYC, the philanthropic couple’s night turned out to be quite the success, with a reported $4 million generated from the event, enjoying a reported $40,000 per guest.

On their support, the President shared:

“To Jay and B, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyonce could not be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent”.
