The promotional promenade continues for multi-octave diva Jennifer Hudson in support of her first foray into authorship ‘I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down’.  Already seeing her book tour taking her down to Atlanta, over to Los Angeles, up to New York, and most recently her hometown of Chicago, the tour follows the countless television and magazine appearances Ms. Hudson has made promoting the memoir.

Most recently dropping by ‘The Rachel Ray Show’ (airing earlier today), hear JHUD chat about her humble beginnings and offer encouraging words to weight loss hopefuls in this hilarious interview:

‘1, 2 Step’ singer Ciara was spotted stepping out of a nail salon yesterday in L.A.  Reportedly preparing material for her next LP, via new recording home Epic Records, the Atlantan’s 2012 is already gearing up to be a busy one.

Many be most anxious for the follow-up to 2010’s serially mishandled ‘Basic Instinct’, but they will first get to see her make her big screen debut in the Adam Sandler-led comedy ‘Donny’s Boy’ (June 15).  News of Cici’s involvement with the film was first broken last summer amidst rumors of her (now confirmed) record label change.

Fans may remember her first cinematic venture, ‘Mama I Want To Sing’ (Patti Labelle, Lynn Whitfield).  Despite combatting leaks and some mishandling of its own, followers of the ‘Ride’ diva will be pleased to know it will arrive on DVD shelves Valentine’s Day 2012.

Until then, peep more pics of the Crunk N’ B princess below (source):

When you are two of the most respected vocal divas of your generation, it is difficult to evade comparison.  Such has been the case with most artists who, despite varying levels of similarities, find themselves in the same age or genre bracket with stars like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.

Such comparison has garnered its fair of protest from pop’s other elite vocalists and you can now add ‘Long Distance’ diva Brandy to that long list.  History may have seen Miss Norwood make waves almost a decade before many of her comparatives, but she still finds her name listed versus some of the noughties reigning diva set.  Speaking with our friends over at TrueExclusives.com, B-Rocka runs down the notion of ‘stan wars’ and rivalries between herself and Monica, among others mentioned.

As a staple on the Forbes highest earning list, it goes without saying that ‘idle’ isn’t a word Beyonce is familiar with.

Hence, it’s little surprise that as she cradles her newborn, the promotional campaign for her new fragrance is set to be cranked into overdrive.

Christened ‘Pulse: Summer Edition’, the latest in the singer’s ever-growing range of scents arrives in stores in a matter of months. A sure-fire means, no doubt, of ensuring she remains “present” while M.I.A.

Yet, another testament to the well-oiled machine which powers her movement. More power to her.

There’s dedication, and there’s dedication. Case point, That Grape Juice reader and devoted Beyonce fan Colyn, who exhibits his love for the superstar in the most visual of ways.

Peep his letter and ink work below…

Hey Sam,

After reading That Grape Juice for a long time, I know you all are fans of Beyonce.  What am doing is having a sleeve tattoo done to celebrate her achievements.

So people are gonna hate the reason why I am having it done. I am 27, and for the last 14 years I have followed Destiny’s Child. And then as the group split, I focused on Beyonce. So half of my life I have supported Beyonce. When things have been extremely difficult for me, I always knew I can get lost in a world of her music.

I have had the pleasure of meeting DC and Bey once on many occasions; and at the last ever DC gig in Vancouver Beyonce picked me from the audience and sang Cater 2 U to me.

I was hoping that you may be able to showcase my tattoos, as I want the world to see firstly I am not a stalker or some crazed fan. It’s just that I wanted to have something on my body that has helped me out with so much pain in my youth .

Also I was at the ‘Night with Beyonce’ recording. I was the second fan to ask her a question, but it end up on the cutting room floor lol

Hope you like and will look forward to hearing from you soon.

The B Is from the 4 era and added a crown to it to make it King B.

The bumble bee, as you can recognize, was on the Deja Vu single and was included for promotional use during the Sasha Fierce era.

The signature is from the very first signed picture i got of her when Destiny’s Child were performing at Sheffield Arena on their Survivor tour.

The Gramophone is to represent the 16 Grammys Beyonce has.

The roman numeral is Beyonce’s birth date. 9-4-81

And i have just had done a Beyonce silhouette which is from the back page of the I Am…Sasha Fierce tour programme.
