To undermine Christina Aguilera‘s vocal ability, would be akin to comparing Rihanna’s to Mariah’s.

However, as the years have gone on (taking her relevancy with it), it’s quickly become apparent that years of bad technique have shaved away some of the intricate qualities of a voice we’ve known and loved for the better part of 12 years.

Yet, as the age old adage goes: it’s not over, till it’s over. A fact Aguilera’s popularity on NBC’s ‘The Voice‘ and recent chart-topping success with Maroon 5 proves.

As such, capitalising on her rediscovered relevance, the 30 year old is back in the studio recording what essentially needs to be the comeback of comebacks. So as to ensure she’s in tip-top form, it is being reported the mother of one has enlisted the services of a new vocal coach.

Never one to rest on his laurels, rap rookie J. Cole is already readying the follow-up to his critically acclaimed #1 debut effort.  And, while the September 27th released set Cole World: A Different Story is looking to move nearly 250k its first week, he  took to Billboard to reveal that fans of the album should prepare themselves for a redo – and much sooner than you think.

‘Rough’, an inspirational sports drama due in theaters next year, sees Luckett star opposite famed actors Michael Clark Duncan and Oscar nominee Taraji P. With her recent slew of promotional appearances and nationwide trek winning over fans and critics at every stop, ‘Jumping Trains’ conductress Jojo is finding herself on the right track for a comeback.  Scheduled for an early 2012 release, the album, described by the singer as ‘pop with anger management problems’, has already treated fans to lead single ‘Disaster’.

But while fans await its accompanying visual, the title track from the album has made its way to the net.  The emotional mid-tempo number hears the belter sing – ‘I can’t just be your girl/I need to see the world/If that’s something you can’t arrange/I’ll be jumping trains’.
