With her debut album ‘Killer Love‘ been pushed back more times than Naomi Campbell‘s hairline, there are some who question how Nicole Scherzinger will fare when the project finally does hit stores in December.

So in attempt to generate some buzz for the project and to promote her role on the X Factor USA, the one time ‘Doll’ performed her single ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’ on The Jay Leno Show this week.

The pop fates are spinning quite a tickling web.  For, while Janet Jackson made news for cancelling tour plans due to need of backing track vocal rest,  Rihanna has been cited by her vocal coach to be a ‘true vocalist’.  Such billing is sure to get a collective side-eye from many-a-patient currently recovering from the “true vocal” displays that were the Loud cd and accompanying tour.

As the Grammy winning NOcalist vocalist preps fans for ‘Talk That Talk’, she is releasing webisodes documenting its creation process and many other behind the scenes gems from the Loud era (which coincidentally ended less than a month before ‘Talk’ was announced’).

The sixth live show of  X Factor 2011 aired tonight.

{For those unfamiliar with The X Factor, the show is the UK’s version of American Idol – with a twist in that groups and over 28’s are eligible to enter. Now in it’s seventh season, the show is responsible for birthing the careers of Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, and JLS. Its US incarnation launched this September on FOX}.

Miss Janet Jackson turned many-a-head with her lean green cover of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia this month.  Supplying no shortage of sexy, the 45-year-old pop icon made headlines this month for cancelling the Australian dates of her acclaimed ‘Number 1s’ tour (citing need for vocal rest).   Additionally, it didn’t help that family matters related to the Dr. Conrad Murray trial were equally pressing.
