Together they’ve conjured up some of the biggest hits of the last 20 years, and by the looks of it seem to be cooking up more. Of course, we’re talking about Mariah Carey and hitmaker Jermaine Dupri.

The pair were snapped back in the studio together this weekend, presumably for Carey’s hotly anticipated new studio album.

Despite boasting a long list of smashes, both are at points of their careers where they need to serve up something fresh, new, and resonating. Qualities Carey went in search of in 2009 (to little avail) when she ditched Durpi for The Dream on chart flop ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’.

In any case, here’s hoping they whip up something more than ‘We Belong Together’ re-hashes ala the bulk of their work on their last substancial outing ‘E=MC2’. For, they are clearly capable of greatness; and oh is the industry in need of that right now.

Get familiar with ‘2 Young To Give  A Fxxx’, the latest collaboration by Chris Brown and long time friend Bow Wow.

Surfacing just days after it was confirmed they were to join forces at Brown’s ‘F.A.M.E Tour‘, the lyrics see both entertainers ‘modestly’ declare their love for life’s more superficial offerings.

Funky divas JLS today revealed the cover for ‘Jukebox’ – their third studio album. Due on November 14th, the colourful set is preceded by chart smash ‘She Makes Me Wanna’ and new single ‘Take A  Chance On Me’.

Beyond wondering which shade of MAC they use, I can’t but question what separates them musically and visually from what they were doing 3 years ago. When that answer is a resounding ‘nothing’, their longevity immediately comes back into question.

Still, they seem to be on a “strike while the iron’s hot” MO, so more power them them, ay?

Rising rapper J.
