With performances from the likes of Leona Lewis, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, the ‘Michael Jackson Forever‘ Concert is set to be one of  hottest nights in music.

Whilst some of the late entertainer’s fans may be against the showing altogether, today’s news that The Black Eyed Peas have joined the show’s line up will be sure to serve as good news for those in support of the tribute.

2011 has certainly been the year of groundbreaking albums.

From Adele‘s ’21’  at the start of the year  to Lady GaGa‘s long awaited ‘Born This Way‘ in May which was then followed by Beyonce‘s ‘4‘ in June, it is fair to say that the earlier quarters of the year proved to be a bountiful one for Pop fans everywhere.

Now it seems the final four months of the year are looking to be just as competitive, with the likes of Drake, Rihanna, Jason Derulo, Leona Lewis ,Nicole Scherzinger and Mary J.Blige all releasing new LP’s before the year ends.

Critically acclaimed, Beyonce‘s latest LP ‘4’ has been heralded by many as her most cohesive LP to date. However, despite being released just a few months ago, the mother-in-waiting revealed that she is gearing up for a return to the studio to record its follow-up.

The 30 year old announced the news during a recent interview with Access Hollywood, in which she also talked about her VMA performance, upcoming movie with Clint Eastwood, its accompanying soundtrack, being a working mother and more.

Snapped in a modest black dress on the red carpet of the 2011 Vanidades “Icons Of Style Awards , the former Danity Kane member,  whose new album is expected to hit stores in coming months, looked a far cry from her looks of yesteryear.

The X-Factor USA is here!

Fox’s much hyped British import has finally kicked off on American soil and looks set to be the biggest show of its kind.

Featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, LA Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, the show favours American Idol with its nationwide auditions. However, there is a defining twist in that  groups and solo acts over 25’s are eligible to enter.

Unsurprisingly, with this being the audition phase, the talented and talent-challenged came out in equal measure for a crack at progressing to the next stage.

Pregnancy definitely won’t slow down the promo grind of mommy-to-be Beyonce.  Donning an angelic white gown with beaded trim, the ‘Diva’ singer looked every bit of such as she and her threads stole the show at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City for the ‘Pulse’ launch – her latest fragrance preceded by Heat and Heat Rush.

Hometown diva Jennifer Hudson wowed Chicago fans with her private concert performance at Paris Club’s upstairs lounge Studio Paris.  Performing a short, 5-song set featuring hits ‘If This Isn’t Love’ and ‘No One Gonna Love You’, concert-goers were raving at the American Idol alum’s showing.

Grammy winning ‘Save Room’ singer John Legend is making room on an already busy schedule to take steps behind-the-scenes on the small screen.  As if wrapping up a whirlwind tour with legendary group Sade wasn’t enough, the “Let’s Get Lifted’ hitmaker has now been picked up by NBC.

Deadline reports:

After lengthy negotiations, NBC has closed a deal for Mixed Blessings, a single-camera comedy project executive produced by singer-songwriter John Legend and former NBC executive Teri Weinberg.

Mixed Blessings centers on a prominent, black, street-bred hip-hop artist enjoying his single life who discovers that he has a teenage son and decides to connect with him and his white suburban family.

Congratulations are in order for the crooner who is also said to be readying his fifth album and another foray onto the small screen – a hosting gig as talk show host on Showtime.
