While pop diva Beyonce has spoken glowingly about her role in the Clint Eastwood-directed remake of famed musical ‘A Star Is Born’ in recent months (calling it the ‘biggest opportunity of her life’), the ‘Baby Boy’ singer is now making headlines for another expected birth.

And while the music world is still abuzz after her pregnancy confirmation at the MTV Video Music Awards last nite, Deadline reports Warner Bros has opted to delay production on the already delayed feature film.  Though production was originally set to start as early as February 2012, reports indicate Warner Bros is hoping to use the time to to cast an appropriate lead male.  With Will Smith, Christian Bale, and Leonardo Dicaprio all names rumored to be sought for the role, fans should expect an announcement in the coming months.

Who would you like to see opposite Beyonce in ‘A Star Is Born’?

The success of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch the Throne’ has incited many-an-artist to express desires (or forthright plans) to follow suit.  Interestingly, Jay’s protege, Brooklyn’s don diva Foxy Brown, caused quite the commotion with mention of her own joint project – a failed duet album with Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige.  Said to have been titled ‘Best of Both Girls’ – a play off the Jay-Z/R.Kelly ‘Best of Both Worlds’ album, the Ill Na Na shared news on the project and what caused its halt.

Triple threat diva Jennifer Lopez is certainly finding ways to expand that title.  With the singer gracing the judging panel of American Idol, readying two new films, and shooting the video for her latest single ‘Papi’, the singer’s already booked schedule has seen summer give it a new addition – her own fashion line at Kohl’s.

While Kohl’s is the ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ singer’s latest tread into threads, fans know Lopez is no stranger to fashion lines and fragrances.  And, though busy shooting comedy film ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’ in Atlanta, fans can see Lopez flex those comedy skills in her latest commercials for Kohl’s after the jump:

Though many-a-performer blazed the stage last night at the 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards, the most talked about moment certainly came as budding pop icon Beyonce confirmed (in her own special way) her pregnancy.  Also in attendance was former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, who like many other celebrities in attendance, shared her thoughts on the announcement.

Beyonce‘s not the only R&B diva glowing.  Looks as though  ‘Free Yourself’ singer Fantasia found time to visit the beauty salon in a pic making its Twitter rounds over the weekend.  Though ordered to bed-rest and forced to cancel shows due to her pregnancy, the ‘When I See U’ songstress seemed to be wearing it well.

Although there were many buzzworthy moments from last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, one of the highlights was undoubtedly comeback kid’s Chris Brown‘s stage-blazing performance.  Though cheered on by celebrities and fans alike, one person didn’t look too entertained – rap mogul Jay-Z.

While the rap royal’s noted relationship with pop singer Rihanna has led many to believe he is not exactly atop Brown’s fanclub mailing list, he took that rumor to new heights with a Tweet from earlier today and his appearance during the ‘She Ain’t You’ singer’s live showing:

‘Blowing Money Fast (B.M.F.)’ rapper Rick Ross was caught on camera blowing off steam backstage with recent nemesis/glam rap starlet Kreayshawn.  The freestyle failure, who was nominated for the show’s ‘Best New Artist’ moonman, was being interviewed when the rap titan’s camp interrupted.  Needless to say, sparks flew.

With his new Rico Love produced single ‘The Walls’ gearing up for radio release in less than a few weeks, Mario took to our friends at RapUp to share details:

Although pop princess Britney Spears recent Femme Fatale Tour stage showings would make The Tinman and department store mannequins proud, some spectators have not been so easily pleased.  While the ‘Gimme More’ singer has found herself more and more under fire for her stage mobility (or lack thereof), there’s one person who feels the criticism is undue – choreographer Brian Friedman.

Friedman, who lists Spears most recent hits ‘Hold It Against Me’ and ‘Til the World Ends’ to his choreography credits, has come for critics who are displeased with Brit’s dancing.
