It looks like Keyshia Cole is ready to expand her artist horizons. The singer spoke to MTV News about her many musical aspirations and noted her desire to work with either Beyonce, Lady GaGa or Fergie on her next studio release.

While many might scoff at this idea, I welcome it. Cole has had tremendous success on the R&B formats and if she wishes to have longevity in this industry then she needs to try new things. Taking risks and experimenting with new sounds are key to growth.

However, I hope that she finds a suitable balance and doesn’t abandon her roots completely. We have seen Beyonce gradually transform into Pop artist in an attempt to garner mainstream success and although she has become a global superstar, fans of her R&B-based ‘Dangerously In Love’ debut LP remain disappointed.

2010 has truly been a year full of surprises and just because it’s about end doesn’t mean that they shocking moments have begun to dwindle. Despite having considerably smaller promotional campaigns, Jamie Foxx and Keyshia Cole’s latest releases are on track to outsell Keri Hilson’s ‘No Boys Allowed’!

Foxx’s ‘Best Night of My Life’ and Cole’s ‘Call All Hearts’ are both projected to debut with 120-130k in sales on next week’s Billboard 200 lineup. Hilson’s album, on the other hand, is predicted to sell only 90-100k.

However, while Hilson’s figures are somewhat underwhelming in relation to her several promotional appearances – Vh1’s ‘Divas Live’, ‘Lopez Tonight’, ‘106 & Park’, ‘Black Girls Rock’ and more – these numbers indicate that she will sell almost triple what Ciara’s ‘Basic Instinct’ achieved after debuting with only 37k units sold this week.

Keri Hilson made a recent promotional appearance on Power 105.1. During her interview, the ‘Breaking Point’ singer was asked to share her thoughts about Ciara’s underwhelming ‘Basic Instinct’ album sales to which she gave a peculiar answer.

Hilson also spoke about why Lil Kim’s verse on ‘Buyyou’ was not chosen and confirmed that the decision had nothing to do with the rapper’s feud with Nicki Minaj. Check out what she had to say below:

MTV News recently caught up with Nicki Minaj who was recently crowned their #5 Woman of the Year. The rapper used to opportunity to discuss how she views the actions of others who have been attacking during the last few weeks.

While Minaj refrained from calling any names, everything that she said could easily apply to Lil Kim who has continuously attacked her and even admitted to trying to rebuild her crumbling career by using Minaj’s success as a platform.

R&B vixen Ciara continued along the promotional trail for her ‘Basic Instinct’ LP tonight, appearing on The Mo’Nique Show. Recorded last week (yet aired tonight), the dynamo performer turned in rousing showings of singles ‘Gimmie Dat’ and ‘Ride’. In the case of the latter, the performance served as her first televised rendition of the Urban smash.

With Keyshia Cole‘s new LP ‘Calling All Hearts’ due out in stores today, sources close to the project are said to be worried about its lack of hit singles upon release.

Cole however isn’t so worried; though she does, in a recent interview with the Associated Press, admit to ‘I Ain’t Thru’ being the wrong single to lead the project.
