Rihanna visited Westfield Shopping Centre in London to turn on the Christmas lights and officially launched the Holiday season. Expect a full collection of her auto-tuned squeals, entitled ‘Loud’, in stores on November 16th.

Epic  Records will be releasing a new Michael Jackson album entitled ‘Michael’. The record hits stores on December 13th and will be preceded by the single ‘Breaking News’ which was recorded in 2007. Troubled Hip-Hop star Lil’ Wayne is a free man.

Following a miscalculation which delayed his release by an additional day, the ‘Lollipop’ rapper was officially released from the Rikers Island jail facility in New York City early this morning.

He served eight months of his one year sentence after pleading guilty to the attempted criminal possession of a weapon last year.

Friends and family are believed to have organised a large-scale ‘Welcome Home Weezy’ bash.

Pardon my cynical, but the inevitable hoo-harr about his return is irritating my skin. Scratch.

By no means should one be written off for their wrongs, yet the celebratory sentiments, as well as the utter nonsense that was the ‘Free Weezy’ calls (as if he was wronged in some way), are ridiculous. If only the masses, along with his nearest and dearest, would pause and stop glorifying his behaviour, then perhaps his behind would stay out of the slammer.

Same goes for the rest of the Can’t Stay, Won’t Stay Out Of Jail Crew (see: T.I., Wacka Flocka, Gucci Mane, DMX, and co).

Your thoughts?

Much ado has been made of Nicki Minaj and Eminem‘s epic collaboration ‘Roman’s Revenge’, most especially the not-so-subtle jabs Minaj appeared to be taking at a certain Lil’ Kim.

However, in a recent interview with DJ Khalid (spotted over at our girl Necole Bitchie), Minaj denied the song was directed at pint-sized Kim. In fact, she denied it was directed at anybody (in-particular).

Our friends over at Real Talk NY recently caught up with Cash Money’s latest signee Bow Wow. When quizzed on his relationship with the centre-piece of the label, Lil’ Wayne, the rapper revealed that he recently visited him in prison, relaying Wayne’s words of advice to him, and adding his own Two Cents on Hip-Hop’s problem with crime.
