As Pop pin-up’s JLS prepare to release their sophomore album ‘Outta This World’ tomorrow, a new song from the opus has surfaced in the form of ‘Work’.

A must-hear, if only for the irony of its title, the song sees the funky divas profess their love for the likes of Lady GaGa, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Christina Aguilera.

With Kelly Rowland but one studio session away from completing her third solo album, the promotional ball for the project appears to be rolling once again. Case, point, example, this stunning new shot of the Destiny’s Child diva for the as the yet untitled LP (due  next year). Ms. Rowland really is rocking this short do’. I like.

Producers set to feature on the album include Darkchild, Tricky Stewart & The Dream, Rico Love, Ester Dean, Bryan Michael Cox and Jermaine Durpi. Roll on 2011!

From The Vault is back this week with a number from Truth Hurts. Serving as the first single off her ‘Truthfully Speaking’ LP, the DJ Quik-produced ‘Addictive’ was released in late 2002 and features rapper Rakim. However, the record has proven to be the only hit to date for the R&B singer, managing to peak at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100.

What makes this song so addictive (no pun intended) is the Hindi vocal sample. Every aspect of the production and the vocal arrangement was framed cleverly around that element and helped to make this a major club hit. It’s a shame that Truth Hurts remains a one hit wonder, though, because she really can sing.

Check out Alexandra Burke is featured in the latest issue of ‘The Daily Mail’. In the included interview with the publication the singer discussed her musical direction and the influence that Beyonce has over her career. She also revealed that her father passed away from cancer in 2004.  Read the insightful piece here.
