Atlantic Records signee Wynter Gordon has been on her grind for the last few years – penning hits for the likes Jennifer Lopez, Danity Kane and Flo’Rida. Now the 24 year old is set to take centre-stage with her new single ‘Dirty Talk’.

Produced by David Guetta, the song serves as the first official offering from her debut LP ‘With The Music I Die’ (although, longtime Wynter followers such as myself remember the criminally underrated ‘Surveillance’).

The song’s video premiered today. Check out the clip and its unique concept after the jump…

Despite earlier reports that Ciara’s ‘Basic Instinct’ LP had been pushed back to September, news has now surfaced that the record will not arrive in stores until October 5th. This marks the 3rd time that the release date of the album, which is being primarily handled by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, has been rescheduled with the 1st being a change from August 24th to August 17th. {Source}

What in the name of Prince, Janet and Mariah Carey is going on with Ciara’s team? The previous changes to the album’s release date were understandable but now it seems that they do not have a proper handle on this project. With the substantial airplay that ‘Ride’ is receiving and the buzz surrounding ‘Gimme That’ there is no apparent reason why this record should not hit stores in September.

All of these changes do not bode well to boost the confidence of consumers regarding the quality of the album, especially since Ciara’s last project, ‘Fantasy Ride’, remained stagnant on the shelves. Get it together people!

Rihanna took her ‘Last Girl On Earth’ tour to the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas over the weekend. The self-proclaimed role model for young girls continued her sexually charged antics while gargling her way through renditions of her biggest hits. Rihanna looks very experienced at holding that mic. Now if only she would have similar enthusiasm about her singing.

What do you think of the pic?

Check out this new song from Mr. Ordinary himself, Steph Jones. The Pascal Guyon-produced ‘B E A utiful’ will be featured on his upcoming EP, ‘Imperfect Me’. Give the track a listen below:

That Grape Juice has received reliable word that the release of Ciara’s hotly anticipated ‘Basic Instinct’ LP has been re-scheduled. Initially set  for release on  August 17th, the album – her fourth – will now arrive in stores in September. An official announcement is expected shortly.

Though I’m sure some will snigger, a slight delay is undeniably what this project needs. For, with just 3 weeks before the original date, there have been no promotional appearances, new videos, or anything of that variety. As the music ‘biz has shown over and over again, timing is is everything.

Ciara is in a re-establishing phase, hence for her to truly make an impact again, everything needs to be in place. Yes, ‘Ride’ is a top ten hit on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart (with airplay increasing everyday), but the video for follow-up single ‘Gimme That’ will no doubt have to be in circulation before the album drops, as well as Ciara herself doing the promotional rounds. In any case, it looks as if her team are handling the project with the level of attentiveness it needs. Here’s hoping all works out.

Tidbit: Aren’t the MTV VMA’s in early September? Just saying…

With Christina Aguilera‘s latest LP ‘Bionic’ currently no where to be seen on the charts, new reports are suggesting that her long-time label RCA are concerned with the singer’s ‘headstrong’ attitude.

Aguilera, 29, is said to have bumped heads with the label many a time over the direction of the album…an album which went on to become, not only a commercial catastrophe, but the lowest selling of the star’s career.

Pop diva Kelly Rowland is calling on YOU for help naming her third studio album (due this Fall). The Destiny’s Child alumni initially opted for a self-titled record, however after gauging the not-to-positive response to this, has thrown it out to the public for suggestions.

Hence, you can now submit ideas on Rowland’s official website. Click here to do so…

In the meanwhile, we’re keen to hear what you think Ms. Kelly’s album should be titled. From my standpoint, ‘Grown Woman’ or ‘Commander’ are sure-fire winners (although part of me is led to believe that her team will want to gauge the response to both singles commercially, before naming the whole album after either).

Des’Ree’s incredible ‘You Gotta Be’ has the distinction of being this week’s From The Vault feature. The track was the lead single from her ‘I Ain’t Movin’ album and was originally released in 1994. This simple yet uplifting record peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #14 on the Official UK Singles Chart, impacting the lives of many during it’s stay on the charts. I miss songs like this!
