The ‘Run The World (Girls)’ singer has been named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2012 by PEOPLE magazine. It marks the 9th time the mini-industry has made the coveted list.

And while many have, are, and will continue to fawn over her physical attributes, the 30 year old beams about a different type of beauty in her interview with the publication; beauty from motherhood.

Today marks the tenth anniversary of Lisa ‘Left Eye Lopes’ passing on to eternity.

And while many a kind word are often cooked up for the departed, the latter couldn’t hold truer for the TLC stalwart. For, her impact -both within the confines of the Grammy winning group and beyond- are ever-enduring.

Indeed, Lopes’ sass, spark, and unparalleled talent earned her legitimate legend status by the time of her death, aged just 30 at the hands of a freak car accident in the Honduras.

And while her physical demise remains one of music’s most shocking tragedies, what lives on and lives loud is her stellar body of work. A body which has enabled many a female group and femcee to be somebody. Hence, for that and so much more, Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, That Grape Juice salutes you.

As if Miami wasn’t hot enough, Mariah Carey blazed it up with rapper Rick Ross in a M.I.A studio last night.

The duo were recording with hitmaker Jermaine Dupri for what we hear was a session for Mimi’s upcoming LP.

With a revitalised sound being something her career has been thirsty for, a collabo with the “Bawse” could be just what she needs. What she doesn’t need, though, is any of those late, lacking and redundant beats present on her last few albums. In many ways, this next record  is make or break for her “present day relevance”. Here’s hoping she and team deliver the goods.

It’s been a pretty minute since Bajan beauty Shontelle has served up new material. Unsurprising, given her label switch from Universal Motown to Universal Republic late last year.

However, it appears the 26 year old is gearing up for a chart return, after new cut ‘Freaky’ – featuring fellow Caribbean Gyptian – surfaced today.

A marked departure from the R&B-tinged Pop Rihanna‘s former classmate served up on earlier outings, the cut sees the songbird re-engage with her roots.

Written and produced by Talented & Young, the show centres of the life and love of lead character Venus, interweaving her “drama” with that of her equally troubled friends.

While the date of the snap is unknown, it emerges shortly after La Tavia spoke openly to Kempire Radio about her time in the group, weighing in on Beyonce and her decision to part ways with former  manager Mathew Knowles.
