Today marks the global release of rapper Drake‘s sophomore set ‘Take Care’.

The LP follows on the heels of his 2010 debut ‘Thank Me Later’, which after delivering hits such as ‘Find Your Love’ and ‘Over’, went on to sell over 1.5 million copies in the US alone.

And while all eyes are on the success of this project, there remain some of who are skeptical of the 25 year old’s chances this go round. Yes, the album’s singles have charted relatively well, but the buzz is markedly less pronounced than a year ago. Add to that the premature leak, and we’re left with some pointing to the dreaded “sophomore slump”.

Yes, with the release date of her debut album getting closer and closer,  fans of Pop upstart Willow Smith can expect to see her at a number of high profile events to garner some buzz for the project.

Last night, it was the premiere of the ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn‘ movie which also saw the likes of Bruno Mars in attendance.

A heavily pregnant Beyonce was snapped while out and about in Miami today.

The ‘Party’ singer continues to show motherhood won’t rob her fans of her presence on the music scene, as she gears up for the release of her new DVD ‘Live At Roseland: Elements of 4’ (due November 29th).

‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ hitmaker Jason Derulo dropped by his home-turf when the MTVU’s Campus Invasion Tour made a stop at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.  The Miami native, whose show on the trek was taped October 27th, joined bands We the Kings and Chiddy Bang as part of the acts televised on mtvU and MTVHits broadcast of the show tonight.

Pop icon Whitney Houston sat down with Access Hollywood in an exclusive interview on the set of her latest movie ‘Sparkle’ (also featuring Jordin Sparks).  The first time the Grammy-winning diva has made waves on the silver screen in over a decade, she dished on everything from late R&B starlet Aaliyah‘s involvement in the film to her co-stars in this two part interview (airing Monday and Tuesday).

However, fans were particularly happy when reports from earlier this year suggested  that ‘Getting To Happy:  Waiting To Exhale 2‘ would be in the works featuring prequel co-stars Angela Bassett, Lorretta Devine, and Lela Rochon.

If the numbers are anything to go by, fans couldn’t wait to tune in to last Thursday’s premiere of Braxton Family Values season 2.  The show, which was already WEtv’s highest rated, blasted onto the ratings tally with some impressive numbers.

Braxton Family Values ranked as the #1 telecast for women 18-34 (108% increase from last season’s premiere) and #3 for women 25-54 during primetime among all ad-supported cable when the show returned for its second season on Thursday, November 10.  The series also ranked as the #1 show among African-American viewers during primetime for all key women and adult demo deliveries.

Pop imposter Rihanna unveils the latest set of promo shots from her forthcoming ‘Talk That Talk’ album.  The album, which hits stores next Monday (November 21st), has suffered somewhat of a setback due to a leak that has made its rounds on the net.  Needless to say, even if that ever-so elusive #1 album is no longer within grasp, her ever-so faithful Navy will certainly keep the lifted singles afloat (with two currently in the Top 20 and ‘You Da One’ sure to follow).

Dance commander Kelly Rowland dropped by Alan Carr last night with fellow X Factor UK judges Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow.  Covering quite a number of interesting topics, the ‘Down For Whatever’ diva went down a list of her latest happenings including making a few hints at her love life (which she rarely does).  Needless to say, her responses had the audience buzzing.
