Former ‘Moesha’ star Fredro Starr, who played ‘Q’ on the popular sitcom has revealed that he was…well…’serviced’ by Brandy during his time on the show. The explosive revelations came during Starr’s interview for the ‘C.O.D’ DVD. Check out theclip below (skip to 3mins 20 for the Brandy part):

Damn lol. How old was Brandy when ‘Moesha’ was on, again? Regardless, it was still pretty lame of him to start opening his mouth now about the supposed occurrences. Considering he has a project coming out, I guess that was the free publicity was rationale behind his loose mouth. It’s worked too. SMH…

The video for Mariah Carey’s latest single ‘I’ll Be Loving U Long Time’ premiered literally within the hour. Vid quality isn’t the best, but you now where you saw it first lol. Check it out:

I may be slightly partial to this one as I’ve been feeling the DJ Toomp produced cut for the longest. The video was pretty good; Mariah looks great too. With early radio spins being real healthy, Mariah looks like she may be onto a winner with this. Having felt kinda let down by the first two singles from ‘E=MC²’, this is definitely the most deserving of success from the LP’s releases thus far.

Random tidbit: Does anyone else smell a re-release of ‘E=MC²’ coming on, considering T.I.’s was put on the official video?

'Hancock': Will You Be Seeing It? Will Smith’s much-anticipated new superhero flick ‘Hancock’ was simultaneously released in both US and UK yesterday. Though generally receiving a ‘so-so’ response from most critics, the film is poised to deliver Smith’s highest grossing debut to date, with early projections touting somewhere in the region of $80 Million being grossed in its first weekend.
So with that said, That Grape Juice wants to know if you’ll be going to see ‘Hancock’. If not, why? If you’ve seen it already, your view?

Kanye West Teams Up With Louis VuittonThe self-titled ‘Louis Vuitton Don’ Kanye West has collaborated with the fashion house to produce his own line – for both men and women. Check out the report via NME:

The rapper showed up at the Vuitton show in Paris’ Jardins de Bagatelle on Friday (June 27) and told wwd.com ”I’m here for Louis” before revealing that he is working with the fashion giant on designed a men’s shoe line.

West, who was dressed entirely in his own clothing designs, also told the fashion site that he is working on a women’s wear collection which will debut this fall.

After all that free promo, it’s about time!

Re-affirming the fact that he’s he a complete a**, Bow Wow called out former collaborator Omarion on a remix of Hot Stylez ‘Looka Boy’. Dissing Omarion for, among other things, his ‘tight jeans’, it’s hard to believe it was just a few months ago that he was touting him as the Prince of R&B. Bow also takes a dig at the Raz-B/Chris Stokes situation. Check it out:

A mess. I’m assuming the terrible performance of their joint LP ‘Face Off’ may have been the cause for this break-up rift.

Pharrell To Have Tattoos Removed According to Now Magazine, rapper/producer Pharrell Williams is set to have his tattoos removed:

Pharrell Williams plans to use skin grown in a test tube to cover the tattoos on his arms. The N.E.R.D. frontman is bored of his existing designs and hopes to start afresh with the help of a pioneering graft technique. ‘It’s going to be pricey, but f*** it, it’s worth it,’ he says. ‘I got fire on my arms. I don’t need fire on my arms! I’m a grown man.

Good on him. I think some are going a lil’ overboard with the tatts and not really thinking what it’ll look like/or mean to them when they’re older.

Nearly everyone and their mother jumped on the Lil’ Wayne ‘A Milli’ bandwagon, each offering their own take on Wayne’s cut. R&B star Ne-Yo has gone a step further, though, and dropped this new video for his version – courtesy of producer Bangladesh. Check it out {Thanks Necole Bitchie!}:

Rihanna On The Set Of 'Disturbia' Video Check out these shots of Rihanna, via Just Jared, on the video set of yet another single – namely ‘Disturbia’. Judging by her outfits, the David LaChappelle directed vid looks like it’ll be pretty interesting; which it needs to be, as the song is the absolute pits.

Young Jeezy Covers Vibe; Talks Keyshia ColeYoung Jeezy features in the August (All-Rap) issue of VIBE magazine. As well discussing music, his presidential vote and his family life, the rapper spoke candidly about his rumoured relationship with R&B songstress Keyshia Cole:

“To be honest, it was more what she wanted. She was cool and we had a cool friendship. The media made it out to be something crazy. We kicked it. We hung out. Thing is, you can’t be cool with somebody you wanna be cool with [without the media thinking it’s a relationship]…I was grown enough to tell her, Look baby, that isn’t what it is right now.”

Ouch…

Jennifer Hudson – Stand Up

Some of you may remember ‘Stand Up’ from a post earlier this year, which saw Jennifer belting it out in her bathroom. Recorded back in 2006, ‘Stand Up’ was initially made available as a gift to fans via one of her fan-sites, however has since become so popular (among her fan-base) that it’s currently being considered for placement on her upcoming debut album. Indeed, the ‘big ballad’ showcases Jennifer’s powerful vocal ability to the fullest, while also engaging the listener lyrically. Great song.

Michael Jackson – One More Chance

Originally set for release in late 2003 (video filmed too), ‘One More Chance’ never saw the light of day beyond a feature on MJ’s ‘Number Ones’ LP due to well his publicized legal drama – which he eventually overcame. The soulfully soulful cut manages to mesh vintage Michael Jackson (‘Michaelisms’ included lol) with a contemporary sound that would, no doubt, work even in today’s musical climate. Definitely a testimony to MJ’s continued musical relevance.

Beyonce – Baby Boy (Alternate Version)

Beyonce’s 2003 chart topper ‘Baby Boy’ needs little introduction. Yet many don’t seem to be aware of the existence of an alternate version of the song; which features entirely new lyrics. Weirdly enough, it was this version of the track (which still goes hard even today) that I heard initially; I remember scratching my head at the 2003 MTV VMA’s when she performed what is now known as the ‘single’ version of the track. Enough of my babbling, take a listen…

Trina – 50/50 Love (ft. Trey Songz)

Despite releasing a few decent LP’s, both before and after, it’s 2003’s ‘The Glamourest Life’ that stands as Trina’s best album IMO. Featuring several collabo’s including ‘Here We Go’ with Kelly Rowland, one of the record’s standout cuts was the Trey Songz assisted ’50/50 Love’. With Trina at her raunchy best, and Trey turning an impressive performance on the hook, this one is a winner.
