Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds may be used to being regarded as R&B royalty for his nearly 40 years of cranking out hits for himself and others, but on Sunday’s GRAMMY red carpet (February 2) he got royally dissed by a reporter from the Associated Press (AP).

The interaction outraged the 65-year-old legend’s fans and supporters, prompting AP to later issue an apology.

Now, Edmonds himself is speaking out about the incident. Look inside to see what he said.

The Weeknd is leaving few stones unturned in promotion of his latest album, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow,’ including mending fences with the Recording Academy after years of beef with the institution.

A leading advocate against the GRAMMYs for their alleged lack of transparency in their voting process, the Canadian hitmaker (born Abel Tesfaye) previously took to press to announce a permanent boycott of music’s biggest night after being snubbed for his blockbuster album ‘After Hours.’

Thanks to a slew of DEI initiatives helmed by current Academy president Harvey Mason Jr., however, it appears Tesfaye finally had a change of heart.

Coming as the night’s surprise performer, the 4x GRAMMY winner took to the stage to unveil rocking live performances of hits ‘Cry for Me’ and ‘Timeless.’

See how he fared inside.
