Dreamgirls unite!

As EGOT-winning superstar Jennifer Hudson continues to enjoy a critically acclaimed run on daytime TV with her new talk show, ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show,’ she’s making headlines for creating magical moments with some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Fresh from her historic EMMY win at the 2022 ceremony, TV and stage icon Sheryl Lee Ralph stopped by Hudson’s show Tuesday (September 20) to to not only discuss the award show triumph but also season 2 of ABC’s hit series ‘Abbott Elementary,’ her legendary career, and so much more.

The singer-actresses couldn’t conclude their chat without paying homage to ‘Dreamgirls,’ however, because it was ultimately the vehicle that put them both on the map as Ralph portrayed the original “Deena” in its 1981, TONY-winning stageplay edition while Hudson nabbed Oscar gold for her performance as “Effie” in the 2006 movie version.
