Elton John may already one of the best-selling artists in the history of recorded music, but the 75-year-old ‘Rocket Man’ keeps proving his commercial journey still has miles to go.

After linking with Pop diva Dua Lipa to crank out one of last year’s biggest hits, ‘Cold Heart,’ John is looking to pull a redo with yet another female Pop titan:  Britney Spears.

First reported to be a rework of Elton’s 1971 classic ‘Tiny Dancer,’ the new tune – ‘Hold Me Closer’ – was overseen by GRAMMY-winning producer Andrew Watt.

Marking the first release of new music from Spears since the release of her 2016 album ‘Glory,’ hop inside to hear ‘Hold.’

Over a month after its surprise release, fans of Flo Milli are still enjoying You Still Here, Ho? – her debut studio album.

Having already gifted the video treatment to housed cuts ‘No Face,’ ‘PBC,’ bonus track ‘Roaring 20s,’ and more, the Alabama-born beauty keeps the supportive visuals from the LP rolling, this time bringing the song ‘Big Steppa’ to life.

Hailed by many as a beast on the beat, Flo puts a literal spin on the branding by assuming the role of Godzilla in the ‘Big’ clip – towering over the city’s skyline while spitting some fire bars and rocking designer duds.

Sevyn Streeter may be aiming for a critical and commercial slam dunk with her forthcoming single ’23’ (as we reported here), but the singer-songwriter has already scored with R&B fans thanks to her role as assistant on Dixson‘s newest cut, ‘Cherry Sorbet.’

Rife with sexual innuendoes, the tune sees the duo liken lovers to the sweet treat while trading verses about their special bedroom plans.

“Your legs, your hips, your eyes / My hands, your dirty mind / I love your cherry pie / Seconds for me tonight,” Dixson croons on the sensual track.

The first single from his September 16-due project ‘004DAISY,’ hop inside to hear ‘Cherry’ and peep its accompanying Weird Life-directed music video.

R. Kelly – already serving a 30-year prison sentence for sex trafficking and racketeering – may see his legs shaking for a number of different reasons these days, but the disgraced R&B legend has at least one victory to celebrate this week thanks to Tik Tok.

Despite being on trial facing federal charges for allegedly coercing minors into sex acts, producing child pornography, and obstruction of justice, the 55-year-old’s fan base maintains their loyalty as his legendary catalog saw an uptick in streams at the top of the year.

Now that commercial performance is being reflected in digital sales as well.

Azealia Banks and Nicki Minaj may have enjoyed a short-lived truce in 2017, but the former quickly returned to her antics – slamming the ‘Super Freaky Girl’ hitmaker for everything from her stance on vaccines to her appearance, collaborating with 6ix9ine, and so much more in the years that followed their make-up (as we’ve reported in the past).

And though the controversial rapstress seemingly cooled her jets for a while, she took to Instagram this week to reignite the beef with Minaj, now accusing the GRAMMY nominee of attempting to block her reality TV debut.

While Diddy‘s inciting debate about if R&B is dead, some of its power players scoff at the notion – most recently including the likes of Jacquees, Chris Brown, and Usher (all of whom have been appointed the genre’s king by their respective fans).

The latter, who stands as one of the best-selling artists in history with over 100 million total records sold worldwide and nine Billboard Hot 100 hits (second only to Stevie Wonder among male R&B acts), hasn’t been shy about his dedication to the format over the years.

Said dedication acts as sturdy support for why the 43-year-old believes he should be named R&B’s reigning monarch.

25 years after Brandy and Whitney Houston led a groundbreaking reimagining of ‘Cinderella’ as America’s first Black princess and Fairy Godmother duo, the surviving cast members reunited for ABC’s ‘Cinderella: the Reunion, A Special Edition of 20/20.’

Broadcast Tuesday (August 23), the one-hour special – which aired as part of Disney’s World Princess Week – collected commentary from the 1997 film’s stars Whoopi Goldberg, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander, Veanne Cox, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, and more while exploring the EMMY-nominated movie’s cultural impact.

What’s more, the network aired ‘Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella’ for the first time in over two decades directly after the special.
