As fan fiction goes, it appears it’s a case of the bigger the star, the more elaborate the story.

Just ask Beyonce.

The mega-seller found herself at the centre of a fake-tracklist storm last week, after well-executed line-sheet – supposedly featuring new songs from the re-release of her self-titled album – begun doing the rounds.

Featuring collaborations with the likes of Rihanna and Justin Timberlake, the image gained ample traction and was covered by a multitude of outlets – including many of the major variety.

We, however, held out for official confirmation, which materlized just a few days later and featured none of the alleged new numbers. Instead, two fresh cuts – ‘7/11’ and ‘Ring Off’ – were confirmed along with remixes featuring the likes of Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.

With the dust from the confusion settling, a rep from Bey’s team spoke with Billboard about the episode, as well as plans for the singer’s future releases.

Congratulations are in order for ‘Love ‘Em All’ chanteuse K. Michelle!

Now the proud star of her very own Reality TV series ‘K. Michelle: My Life‘, the ‘Can’t Raise a Man‘ singer finds herself going from strength to strength this year, after the show’s opening episode pulled in 2.1 million viewers.

Yes, 2.1 million viewers.

Opening on VH1 on Monday night, ‘My Life’ comes courtesy of the masterminds behind the ‘Love & Hip Hop‘ TV empire, handing the singer her own spinoff after starring in its ‘Atlanta‘ arm and playing a supporting role in the latest season of its NYC serving.

Usher may serve up suave naturally, however the singer isn’t afraid to lighten the mood when need be.

Such was the case on the latest stop of his new tour, The UR Experience, which kicked off in Canada this week.

During his performance of ‘Bad Girl’ on the trek’s Toronto stop, the 36-year-old invited a selection of fans on-stage with him. What ensued was hilarious – perhaps unintentionally.

All we’ll say is that the thirst was real…

For months, speculation has been rife about an alleged feud between Kenya Moore and Vivica Fox on Donald Trump’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’. The story, which gained ample traction, was deemed odd as neither had confirmed involvement with the show at the time the report hit.

All doubt was dissolved today, though. Because it formally announced that both ladies will star as competing contestants on the newest season, which debuts in January…

Last week, the singer/actress Rita Ora took to Twitter to announce that she would release new music from her forthcoming US debut album if a message she posted on the website received 100,000 retweets.

An easy task when one considers the star’s 4 million followers, right? Wrong.

For, after said message only scored 2,000 retweets, it soon emerged that Ora hadn’t been behind the original message at all, hacked by a someone who seems to have hoped to leak hew new material…with her own account.

Today, the entertainment website ‘BuzzFeed‘ have revealed just why the hacker had been an unsuccessful in his or her leaking endeavours.

As viewers of TV One’s ‘Hollywood Divas’ will already know, the show’s first season has followed five African-American actresses as they join forces to create a movie they hope will restore (or hand them) the notoriety their talent makes them deserving of.

These actresses being Golden Brooks of ‘Girlfriends‘, Countess Vaughn of ‘Moesha‘ and ‘The Parkers’, ‘The Proud Family’s Paula Jai Parker and  ex- ‘Real Housewife of Atlanta’ Lisa Wu.

Alas, we doubt the sweet smell of success they enjoyed many moons ago can mask the stench that rises from their movie ‘The White Sistas‘, seeking to tell a story of revenge, betrayal and murder…but now appears to have turned into a comedy.

For many, Jazmine Sullivan stands as one of R&B’s most gifted talents. And if there existed any doubt, it was dispelled last night when the soul-filled songbird took vocal flight at an NBA game in her hometown of Philadelphia.

Sullivan did away with the production theatrics other acts tend to rely on and instead served up an acoustic version of the US National Anthem, the ‘Star Spangled Banner’.

Due December 9th, the set serves is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Rebellious Soul’.
