After bidding farewell to ‘Interscope’ and heading over to ‘Def Jam’, it’s safe to say that Iggy Azalea‘s career has gone from strength to strength, now handled by a team who’ve succeeded in taking her from the bottom of the Pop pile to the height of the ‘Hot 100.’

Now, as they figure out a way to turn her ‘Fancy’ buzz into commendable sales, the label have placed her on ‘My Main’, the forthcoming single from Motown‘s Mila J.

Fierce quintet Fifth Harmony continued their ascension on ‘The Today Show’ this week, where they rocked the house with their latest single ‘Bo$$’.

The blazing cut, which – in paying homage to the likes of Michelle Obama and Oprah – serves as a modern spin on the much treaded on “girl power” narrative, has ignited iTunes following its release last week.

Hoping to give the hard-hitter an added push, the X Factor US birthed belles delivered quite the live performance.

It’s definitely been the “read heard around the world.”

While gospel music lovers normally get their praise and their laughs on during the auditions of BET’s hit faith-based reality singing competition ‘Sunday Best,’ the most memorable moment of the show’s season 7 premiere last week brought with it no laughing matter.

Jaws dropped and wigs snatched came as the aftermath of contestant Dennis Bingham’s berating tirade launched against judges Kim Burrell and Donnie McClurkin for laughing during his audition.  The footage has made its way across the net in a similar fiery fashion, receiving many-an-amen from viewers who supported his stance.

Fed up with the online criticism, the ‘Over and Over Again’ singer took to the stage to voice her side of the story.  Tuck in below to hear her response and get reacquainted with the incident as well:

Fifth Harmony waste no time pushing their latest single ‘Boss’, flinging its music video to the masses days after releasing the sassy number!

The thing is, while we’re completely behind the ladies’ “pro-girl” approach, we can’t say their new sound is the direction they should be heading in, not helped by a video which does very little to appease their pre-teen audience.

For, as tempting as “spicing it up” may seem to Pop princesses hoping to break new ground, one really should get in where they can fit in, playing it safe until they’ve garnered a fan base big enough to carry them should they then decide to switch it up.

Why we worry ‘Harmony’ are getting it terribly wrong?

As any Britney Spears enthusiast will know, the icon’s ‘vocal issues’ first began when the chart-topping gems she recorded were produced in such a way that performing them live became a mission impossible.

Unfortunately, with the likes of ‘Luv the Hurt Way’ cast into the shadows of her auto-tuned smash hits, there are many unaware of the star’s true potential as a vocalist. Pretty sad if you ask us.

For today, proving that the singer’s use of auto-tune is more out of necessity than it is style, an unedited version of her ‘Britney Jean’ bop ‘Alien’ has surfaced…and it’s pretty bad.

Soulful songbird Solange is gearing up for a return to the scene with her first studio album in six years.

To signal her comeback, the 28-year-old appears on the cover of Lucky Magazine – which is somewhat apt given that she was incredibly “lucky” to escape the media storm that almost engulfed her and her family during “elevator-gate” back in May.

Not one to shy away from talking, the singer addresses the matter in her own way in her interview feature, and also dishes on her new album, family loyalty, and fashion.
