Much to the exasperation of Beyonce‘s beloved #Beyhive, Grammy-nominated songstress Syleena Johnson dared to compare Blue Ivy‘s hair to that of late rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s. The move may have resulted in a quite a few stings from the fan group, as seen here, but the ‘Angry Girl’ singer reveals that she has taken it all in stride.
Maintaining her stance on the little one’s hair, Johnson was recently interviewed on a red carpet where she did at least profess her love for Bey and child. This, of course, not without standing her ground and passing a few jokes along the way.
Fellow R&B diva India.Arie is not a fan of people making fun of Blue’s hair (read her open letter slamming critics here), but the ‘All Falls Down’ diva is not willing to back down to ‘computer thugs.’ Read her comments below:
After Syleena Johnson‘s woeful weigh in and news of a Change.org petition to comb Blue Ivy‘s hair went viral, India.Arie says “enough is enough” – at least as it relates to people’s constant jabs to Beyonce‘s famous toddler’s locks.
Taking to Twitter to pen an open letter slamming critics who have lent negative comments about the child, the ‘I Am Not My Hair’ hitmaker was so upset that she assembled a fiery collection of words to scold fellow celebs and fans alike on the topic.

When art imitates life.
While many artists claim to sprinkle real life narratives in their music, Robin Thicke is going the literal route.
The singer’s reps confirmed this week that his new album has been christened ‘Paula’ – after estranged wife Paula Patton.
Together for over 20 years, nine of which have been in a married capacity, the couple announced their separation this year – with Thicke publicly shouldering the “blame” and launching a campaign to ‘Get Her Back’. In line with his new literal approach, the latter is the actual title of the crooner’s recent single; one that garnered headlines aplenty following a live performance at the Billboard Music Awards back in May.
Still pushing the personal agenda, it appears the ‘Blurred Lines’ belter is gearing up to unleash the LP sooner than expected.

Thus far, Trey Songz is yet to turn his R&B water into global wine to enjoy the international acclaim scored by the likes of Chris Brown and “Burn” star Usher.
Jarring when one realises he stands just one “Fine China“-sized hit away from doing so, those who doubt the star”s potential as a world renown act need look no further than iTunes R&B”s UK tally, which the entertainer now dominates with his new LP “Trigga.”
Details on his win and Mariah Carey”s latest release below…
As chart disasters go, few come as high-profile as Mariah Carey‘s latest album ‘Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse’.
An apt title, the LP has experienced elusive sales – and that’s putting it politely.
Debuting with career low numbers in the US (see: 58k), the set also tanked in the UK where it premiered at #14 with sales of 6500.
Recent trend among the singer’s fan-base has been to blame her manager, friend, and longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri – who this week clapped-back at the critique.
During a stop at The Breakfast Club yesterday, where he visited to promote R&B quad Jagged Edge, the hitmaker couldn’t escape the Mimi questions and was flat-out asked about the project’s appalling numbers.
Find out what he had to say after the jump, where TGJ’s weigh-in on the madness also awaits…
While her music videos and live performances haven’t always been up to par, Nicki Minaj has never had any problems scoring acclaim for her lyrical prowess, celebrated for penning the music that took her from Hip Hop upstart to world renown megastar.
Unfortunately, not all of her contemporaries can boast of such a feat, oft ridiculed behind industry doors for enlisting ghost writers to create material they go on to pass off as their own work, dipping into their budgets to pay said writers for their ideas…and silence.
This, as fans of Minaj learned, hasn’t gone unnoticed by the rapper, who took subtle aim at her lyric-deficient rivals during a ‘Ustream‘ session launched to promote her latest single ‘Pills N Potions.‘
What she had to say on the matter?
