As its global sales swim near to ‘half a million mountain’ and its lead single continues to ride critically acclaimed waves, Tamar Braxton‘s “Love & War” features prominently in the latest season of the star’s hit Reality show “Braxton Family Values.”

Yes, despite taking place just last month, the star’s time at the 56th annual Grammy awards was documented for the 1 million or so viewers who tune into the show every week this month, after the aforementioned LP failed to win in any of the categories it was nominated.

If Camp Mariah Carey opts to go ahead with the star’s May 6th album release date, the only fate the LP can be sure to face is…disaster.

A little dramatic? Perhaps. However, after watching its latest first single slip and slide out of iTunes Top 400 after a week of release, her team is now faced with the mammoth task of convincing the general public to purchase the Def Jam-backed piece.

Problematic, considering the difficulty they’ve had moving all of its singles, save for the ‘Clear Channel‘- pushed ‘Beautiful.’

Now, as if its iTunes run didn’t give Universal enough cause to rethink their strategy, today has seen  ‘Mine’ make its Billboard Hot 100 debut.

Kelis continues her soulful re-incarnation in the video for new song ‘Jerk Ribs’.

Unveiled on via TIME today, the visual is the first to be lifted from new album ‘Food’ (due April 21st via Ninja Tune). The project’s second single ‘Rumble’ will see its own clip debut at a later date.

Shot with a behind-the-scenes theme, Kelis explained that “this song is the cornerstone of my album. So I wanted the video to look like my life, my love — back to the beginning.”

If there’s one thing to be learned from Mariah Carey‘s promotional run this morning, it’s that the icon should avoid live interviews…wherever and whenever she can.

For, after being showered with praise and love after the release of new single ‘You’re Mine’,  the star’s entitled and at times irritating personality saw her rain on her parade when she arrived at ‘The Breakfast Club‘ to promote the aforementioned hit.

It was there, seemingly under the influence of alcohol, the star revealed just how ‘out of it’ she really is when quizzed on a number of hot topics…including Beyonce –whom she stresses that she is a fan of- and her smash hit single Drunk in Love.’
