2022 has already proven that Snoop Dogg is easily one of the busiest men in show business.

Kicking off the year as part of a historic, Hip Hop-heavy ensemble at the Super Bowl, the legendary rapper went on to announce he would be sharing hosting duties with Kelly Clarkson for NBC’s ‘American Song Contest.’

Now, Dogg is joining forces with Peacock for the new original series ‘So Dumb It’s Criminal.’

Executive produced by the 50-year-old himself, the eight-episode series calls on some of the world’s funniest comedians to weigh in on the stupidity of “the world’s dumbest criminals” and the compilation of real-life surveillance and cell phone-captured videos that landed them in trouble.

On Super Bowl Sunday (February 13), Snoop Dogg – as part of a historic, Hip Hop-heavy halftime show also featuring Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and 50 Cent – served up a reminder that he has had a 30-year career of cooking up hits.

And while the aftermath of that appearance saw a number of each performer’s top tunes soar up real-time streaming and sales charts (as we reported here), Dogg (born Calvin Broadus Jr.) also had the unique honor of cooking up a win on another chart as his name is printed in the top tier of Amazon’s best-seller list.

In an industry as fickle as the music business, longevity can be an elusive concept.  For the lucky (but often deserving) batch who manage to see their respective impacts survive changing musical trends and tides, a particularly fortunate class – even among that small group – vaunt relevance.

Granted, the ageist industry sees less women than men score the latter, but the list of female acts who have remained competitive far beyond their commercial peaks – especially on Billboard – is nothing to dismiss.

Look inside to see who made the ultra-exclusive list.  Don’t be surprised if your fave is absent…

Taylor Swift‘s no stranger to seeing her name penciled in Billboard Hot 100 history books.

As if holding the record for most career top 10 debuts of any artist as well as being the only female artist to dethrone herself from the #1 spot weren’t enough, now she’s added a new accomplishment to her endless list of achievements.  A week after her newest single, ‘Me!’ (featuring Brendon Urie), debuted at #100 on the tally based on airplay alone, the tune finds itself at #2 on this week’s refreshed charts.

And, while unable to unseat the reigning champ Lil Nas X, the jump gave Swift another distinct honor:  the biggest position jump in Hot 100 history.  Coming as her 23rd Hot 100 hit, ‘Me!’ also helped the singer tie Whitney Houston‘s all-time top 10 record.
