The pressure is on for a certain Darryl Stephens.

Indeed, after keeping fans glued to screens during his four year run as Noah Nicholson on LOGO’s groundbreaking series ‘Noah’s Arc’, the California native is now charged with the task of carrying audiences into the new-new with ‘DTLA’ (October 24th, 11/10c) – the channel’s latest dramedy.

As reported here, the family of late, great pop icon Whitney Houston is forging forward (supposedly) in her memory with ‘On Our Own’ – a Lifetime reality show set to detail their lives post her passing.

Highlighting their daily happenings (and all the drama that’s ensued since Houston’s death), the show is set to make its premiere this Wednesday via the womens’ network.  Taking to ‘The View’ as one of many stops on their promo rounds, it was a little more than apparent that Babara Walters’ “view” of the Houstons was less than hospitable.

Never one to bite her tongue, the feisty 83-year-old definitely had tongues wagging with this interview (as did the Houston family).  See it all unfold above and below:

The 28 year old took centre stage at the UK’s Stand Up To Cancer telethon this evening to perform her chart smash ‘Call My Name’. However, the showing turned into the messiest of melee’s after her backing track “malfunctioned”, forcing the Girls Aloud star to sing…live.

As reported here, Lifetime was set to honor the life of late, great pop icon Whitney Houston with a new documentary entitled ‘The Houstons Remember Whitney‘.  The hourlong documentary, which aired October 17th, was full of candid behind the scenes footage of the songstress and included never-before-seen interviews with the starlet and her family.

Amping fans up for The Houston Family reality show, due next Wednesday, get into the showing above.  It’s a must-see for all Whitney fans.

‘Your Body’ beauty Christina Aguilera is certainly making her promo rounds in support of the 3rd season of NBC’s top rated reality talent show ‘The Voice’.

Much to R&B lovers delight, a recent press release confirms that Cleveland, Ohio will be home to the first induction ceremony of the R&B Music Hall Of Fame  – a newly designed museum to include “state-of-the-art, highly interactive, virtual reality experience” to honor popular music’s legendary R&B artists.

Like its ‘Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’ counterpart, its inductees will include artists who have made considerable impact on the genre as it relates to its evolution and incorporation into mainstream music.

First up?  None more fitting than the late, great icons Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston

A scripted series set to follow the lives of a variety of characters who live, work, and play in downtown L.A., the show (from the directors of ‘The L Word’) will also be starring Darryl Stephens (best known for his work as Noah on the channel’s hit “Noah’s Arc” series), Melanie Griffith, comedienne  Sandra Bernhard, and more.

After garnering critical acclaim with her last studio album ‘Unexpected’, Destiny’s Child graduate Michelle Williams is back in the lab working on its follow-up.

In these exclusive new shots, the vocal powerhouse is seen laying down verses in a Los Angeles studio with friend and vocal arranger Lonny Bereal. The pair have been hard at work on the as yet untitled LP (due Spring 2013), which is described as boasting an R&B inspirational sound.

Having thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Williams last effort, as well as her previous Gospel releases, we’re oh so amped for this. Are you?

Last Thursday, Malala Yousafazi was shot on the way home from school, as part of as assassination attempt by the Taliban- who targeted the 14 year old for speaking out group’s oppression of women in her homeland of Pakistan.

Shot in the head and then again in the neck, she currently remains unconscious and in present danger with the Taliban threatening to target her again for being a ‘symbol of the infidels and obscenity‘.

So, in what marks a strange twist in this tragic story, ‘Ray Of Light‘ icon Madonna has ‘honored’ Malala with a strip tease carried out during Wednesday’s showing of her ‘MDNA Tour’ in LA.

An act, which has now been billed as distasteful.
