Talk and anticipation for Nicki Minaj‘s new single ‘Freaky Girl’ may have sent the Rap Queen’s name to trending status on Twitter over the last few days, but a peek at the platform Monday (August 1) had people chatting for another reason.

A woman claiming to be Minaj’s former assistant took to social media to “expose” the GRAMMY nominee, alleging everything from sexual promiscuity and Payola use to suggesting the rapstress secretly suffers from domestic abuse at the hands of her husband Kenneth Petty.

The poster’s claims may have been unsubstantiated at the original time of posting, but that didn’t stop detractors from having an absolute field day with the negative press.

Much like the cinematic Drake and Tems-assisted ‘Wait For U’ before it, Future flexes his acting muscle something serious in the music video for ‘Love You Better’ – the latest single from his April-released album ‘I Never Liked You.’

With hopes of getting ‘Love’ to the top of the Hot 100 like ‘Wait,’ the 38-year-old continues to push the tune down the promo trail, most recently unlocking a behind the scenes look at its Child-directed music video.

With an impressive commercial and critical response attached to its first week, Beyoncé‘s new album, ‘Renaissance,’ appears to be a shoo-in for the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200.

Rina Sawayana is hot on the promotional trail.

Case in point, the songstress stopped by KEXP, where she performed a bevy of new tunes.

Taking the stage, she was dressed in a black shirt, leather jacket, and jeans. She performed her hit songs ‘Catch Me In The Air,’ ‘Dynasty,’ ‘XS,’ and ‘Comme Des Garçons (Like The Boys).’

The latter songs were from her debut album, ‘Sawayama,’ which won acclaim from critics and fans alike.

However, ‘Catch Me In The Air’ serves as the second single from her upcoming album, ‘Hold The Girl.’ The project is currently slated for a September 16 release date.
