The track, which was serviced as the lead release from the Houston native’s new album ‘Special,’ took off on TikTok shortly after its April release and hasn’t looked back since.
In hitting #1, ‘About Damn Time’ dethrones Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ – which reigned for 10 weeks.
Lizzo’s latest hit managed the feat with the following US numbers this week:
- 14.3 million streams
- 88.2 million radio airplay
- 14,000 downloads
‘About Damn Time’ becomes the performer’s second Hot 100 chart-toppers – the first being ‘Truth Hurts’ in September 2019.
