With a career spanning almost two decades, it is impossible to deny the impact Brooklyn’s finest Lil Kim has made on both Hip Hop and – to a degree- Pop culture.
Launching the well received ‘Return Of The Queen Tour‘ two months ago, the last few years have seen the Rapper reboot her career successfully- following a nasty spat with Rap mogul Nicki Minaj.
However, despite her efforts to appease her ever growing fan base, they have attacked her- accusing her of putting her new boyfriend ‘Mr Papers’ before her career.

As previously reported, reality talent show juggernaut ‘American Idol’ recently bid adieu to two of its judges – Steven Tyler & Jennifer Lopez. Now, reports circulate that the ‘Ain’t It Funny’ songstress’s exit from ‘Idol’ was everything but a laughing matter, as her demands for an increase in pay led to an unceremonious ousting.
Amidst falling ratings and steeper competition (see: ‘The Voice’, ‘X Factor USA’), the FOX fan favorite is looking to employ a star who probably fits a bit more comfortably into their budget. And, given some of the names allegedly in talks to take up Lopez’s vacant chair on the judging panel, possibly for once someone who can actually sing may be put in place.
Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion are just a few names at the front of the race. Additionally, given the boost afforded to Lopez’s career during her stint on the show, it’s safe to say the aforementioned would appreciate the same. Or, given Britney Spears (X Factor) and Christina Aguilera‘s (The Voice) inclusions on ‘Idol’s’ fiercest competitors, should FOX executives look for someone younger and more current?
You tell us: Who (among these and more) should replace Steven Tyler & Jennifer Lopez on ‘American Idol’?
Professional poser Cassie lived up to her billing last night in Las Vegas.
The starlet, whose sophomore set ‘King of Hearts’ lacks a palpable pulse, smiled and sashayed as hosted a private gala at LAVO nightclub – embracing her model reality.
For the few hanging on for new material, the Bad Boy beauty is working on a new mixtape tentatively titled ‘Rock-A-Bye Baby’. Another classic, no doubt.

As the masterminds behind ‘One Direction‘, Misha B and the record breaking Leona Lewis, Modest Management remain one of the UK’s more respected entities- praised for their ever rising success rate.
However, if Tweets by ‘Nothing’s Real But Love‘ singer Rebecca Ferguson are anything to go by, the company may have found themselves in hot water over their alleged treatment of the star, another one of their X Factor UK clients.

Last night saw R&B force Ne-Yo preview his latest collection of hits – a set he has christened ‘R.E.D’.
A stylized acronym for ‘Realizing Every Dream’, the LP is important for more than serving as the star’s 5th studio album.
His last outing ‘Libra Scale’, spawned hits, yet little in the way of commercial nor critical acclaim. Blessed with a fresh and firmer slate by way of his new deal at Universal Motown (where he also serves as SVP of A&R), the 32 year old is gearing up to release the set (his first on the label) on September 18th.
Assembling a who’s who of the British media in Central London, the hitmaker provided a 7-track taste of the opus – which was preceded by a glowing endorsement by Ethiopia Habtemariam – the Senior Vice President of Motown Records.
