Rita Ora is getting candid.

The ‘Anywhere’ singer recently sat down with Vogue Arabia, where she was quizzed on who some of her biggest influences were.

During the interview, Ora did not shy away from giving very honest answers and praise for many music legends. She cited Mariah Carey‘s ‘Honey’ and the “epic” video that she made for the song.

Elsewhere, she cited the King of Pop Michael Jackson and his song ‘In The Closet,’ revealing that she “couldn’t get it out of my mind.”

Further in the interview, she also cites Prince and George Michael as some of the artists to influence her as well.

Thanks to her controversial comments about the Holocaust, ‘The View’ moderator Whoopi Goldberg has many changing their views on her amid provoked outrage for repeatedly asserting it wasn’t “about race.”

Stated during a segment of the talk show Monday (January 31), Goldberg and co. were addressing how a number of American schools are attempting to remove some of the nation’s more problematic history moments from curricula.

When she referenced the Holocaust, however, Whoopi indicated the genocidal event – which saw an estimated 6 million Jews and 5 million others killed by Nazis – was more of a demonstration of inhumanity than race because it involved “two White groups of people.”

Needless to say, her commentary set off a firestorm of controversy.  So much so, she took to Twitter Monday night to apologize.

The City Girls’ sophomore album, ‘City on Lock,’ may have not unlocked the success of its predecessor, 2018’s ‘Girl Code,’ due to a surprise leak, but what comes as no surprise is the 2020-released set’s singles are still getting love on digital download and streaming outlets.

So much so, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has announced the project’s second single – the Doja Cat-assisted ‘P***y Talk’ – has clawed its way to Platinum status.

‘Richer Than I Ever Been,’ the December 2021-released studio album from Rick Ross, entered the Billboard 200 at #22 – marking the first time in his nearly 20-year career he missed the chart’s top 10 upon an album’s premiere.

The blow to his record hasn’t acted as a deterrent for promotion of the effort, however.

To put the project back in the view of consumers, the GRAMMY nominee has repackaged and re-released the set – padding its 12-song tracklist with three addition tracks (‘Vacheron’ feat. AZ, ‘Revelations,’ and ‘Not For Nothing’ feat. Anderson .Paak).

A toast to the re-release comes in the form of the cinematic ‘Little Havana’ music video, featuring The Dream and Willie Falcon.  Watch it inside:

Janet Jackson‘s truth-bearing documentary has been earning rave reviews for its colossally candid deep-dive into all corners of the icon’s life.

One of the central focuses of the four-part film was Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the singer’s legendary family.

Viewers watched as Janet acknowledged her father’s steeliness, but placed it in the context of his unwavering desire to see his children succeed. A dream that came to fruition with The Jackson 5, Janet, and, of course, Michael Jackson.

The positive presentation caught the eye of another famous father, Mathew Knowles – dad to Beyonce and Solange. 

A maestro in his own right, having shepherded the careers of his daughters as well as the group Destiny’s Child, Knowles showered ample praise on Janet and the documentary more broadly for doing a solid service to Joe.
