It’s been over four months since H.E.R. unleashed her long-awaited debut album, ‘Back of My Mind,’ yet the project remains near the front of R&B charts – a positioning supported by ongoing streams and sales of its fan favorites ‘Damage,’ ‘Come Through’ (featuring Chris Brown), ‘Slide’ (featuring YG), and ‘For Anyone.’

The latter, which was recently granted single treatment, saw its official music video unveiled Tuesday (October 19).

Depicting a forlorn H.E.R. alone in a studio, the GRAMMY & Academy Award winner (born Gabriella Wilson) croons about missing Mr. Wrong.

“I wish I could tell you I don’t wanna be with somebody else new Honestly, I wish I never met you ‘Cause you left me broken Now my heart won’t open for anyone,” she sings on the DJ Camper-produced heartbreak anthem.

Afro-Pop phenom Simi has unleashed the video for her new single ‘Woman.’

Aptly titled, the track serves as an ode to women and their unshakable power.

As the chorus triumphantly declares: “nobody be like woman.”

The hard-hitting jam – which samples the legendary Fela Kuti – follows Simi’s 2020 EP ‘Restless II’ and a slew of flavorsome singles released this year.

For us though, ‘Woman’ – with its hypnotic production, anthemic lyrics, and rich Afro-Beats knock – is easily Simi’s most striking offering yet.
