Word has it, according to our friends over at Rap-Up.com, that Solange will be joining big sister Beyonce on her world tour when it starts next April (2009).The burgeoning star will be performing tracks from her critically acclaimed sophomore effort ‘Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams’ on the 110-date trek – which sees stops here in Europe, the U.S (with a one-week stint in Las Vegas), Canada, Mexico, South America, Japan, Africa, and Australia. {Source}
This is definitely a good look for Solange, as the tour will inevitably garner alot of attention, hence ensuring she receives maximum exposure. I am scratching my head though; didn’t Solange stress that she didn’t want to be ‘grouped’ with Beyonce? In any case, exposure is exposure. The Knowles’ don’t play LOL.

Correction…she said she did not want to be compared to Beyonce, as a person and musically. they’re sisters! It crazy to thing that they would not work together. Especially when they are so close.

In a way it’s good, because Solange will be on a sold out tour, because no doubt Beyonce’s tour dates do sell out. On the other hand, Solange will play second fiddle to Beyonce on this tour. This will also open more people up to Solange’s music and hopefully she will garner a broader fan base. I say smart move by the Knowles family, because Mama Tina is usually on the road with Beyonce and this way, she can kill to birds with one stone, because Solange wanted to due promotions on a larger scale.

Budapest is announced for 29th April, 2009! I think this the first comfirmed tour date.
I want to see Solange more than I want to see Bey this time around and I’m actually a gigantic Bey fan but I’m more on Solange’s side of the fence this time around. So I’m kind of sad that she is touring with Beyonce because I would like to hear Solange perform the whole album if she could lol I wish she would have done small dates by herself but hey, bigger venues bigger exposure that’s all great but it really cheats the Solange Fans. I hope she is back stage when I go to meet Beyonce this year since they are both on the tour. I’m just glad she is not taking Kelly and Michelle like first rumored cause I sure don’t want to see them dry performances live AGAIN, I had enough of it on the Fulfilled and Lovin’ it tour.
