Solange Performs ‘Viva La Vida ‘
Solange recently participated in Yahoo Music’s ‘Cover Art’ series, offering her own spin on Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida’. ‘Interesting’ dancing aside (LOL), I really enjoyed this one. Solange continues to establish herself as a viable artist in her own right. Good performance.

wowww. i laughed so hard when i saw this! i agree with Jen! its like she is trying wayyyy tooo hard to fit in with the “cool” kids. and her voice was a mess. sam you need to get your ears cleaned because your taste is out of this world.

HER VOCALS WERE A DAMN MESS! HOW CAN YOU SAY CLEAR AS ICE? LOL! Yes, I could understand the words she was saying – if thats what you mean by “clear as ice” but it was a MESS! HER VOCALS WERE A MESS! Its not a song she should be singing at all or even TRYYYYY TO COVER! she ruined it!!!
and this goes out to those artists who want to cover a popular song: MAKE SURE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SING IT EQUALLY AS GOOD or BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!

I didn’t think it was half bad. Vocally she wasn’t straining either cept maybe the ad-libs towards the end. But the majority of you might just not be used to the song being sung by a female. It was a pretty good take and cover.

I see this is the 2nd blog Solange has requested for the video to be removed. The first one I noticed was Concrete Loop. She knows it was horrible. LOL.
