‘Telephone’, the second of Lady GaGa and Beyonce‘s two collaborations (and GaGa’s follow-up to ‘Bad Romance’), surfaced shortly after the first a few minutes ago (I doubt it was a coincidence). In keeping things short and sweet, this is audio-fire! Everything from the production (courtesy of Darkchild), to each of their swaggers (especially Bey, who enlisted her ‘Diva’ flow). Bouncy and Crazy really are running things right now. The video for this really couldn’t come any sooner!

So…this song is kinda hot, it definitely has the Lady-Gaga-euro-techno-pop sound to it, and given that’s her lane, she shines on the song. On the other hand, Beyonce always knows how to adjust her vocals for a song, and provide what it needs, but I just don’t think that her flow fit the song well. She rode the beat, no doubt, but they had to change the whole tempo of the song to accomodate for her verse. It went from techno-pop, to swisha-house-chop-and screw.
On a different note, let’s call a spade a spade. Don’t get me wrong, I fuqs with Beyonce. She is a beast on the stage, and genius in the studio; but she is always a serious business woman. She understands that if you can’t beat em’, you have to join em’. Hence her collobroration with the lovely Shakira, and hence the reason for this song. Lady Gaga owns the mainstream radio airwaves right now, and in order for Bey to still collect from radioplay and not concert performances, she has to join forces with one of the major forces of the time.
All in all, good song, good energy…but I am interested to see what the video will look like. Because Lady Gaga has a very cinematic/dramatic way of shooting videos, whereas Bey’s video are eye catching, high energy, and entertaining. And this may sound like the same themes, but not quite. TBD….

Interested in seeing the video because I’m a fan of Lady GaGa, but not sold on the song. Beyonce has a good voice, but this seemed a bit too techno to totally mix her in if that makes sense.

Lady Gaga and Beyonce have never been arrested, photographed doing drugs, sleeping with other peoples husbands, getting into domestic violence issues, or gettin guns and symbols tatooed on them, but yet u call them devil worshipers?
