She really can’t sing. I don’t understand how anyone (other than her die-hard fanatics, I don’t expect any better from them) can say she has vocal talent. She doesn’t. Sorry, but no you’re wrong – you’re just being too extreme – she can sing – admittedly she’s not as good singing live as on recordings and admittedly there are singers who can sing live better – now in a studio you can use autotune and you can clean things up, but unless you’re going to end up with a useless mush you can’t change the basic qualities of the voice too much. So you need something to start with, to build the track around and in her case she’s got a voice which, though you might think resembles some goat, is actually appealing to a lot of people – I’ve heard better singers in the studio who have got nowhere with their careers because their voices just aren’t distinctive enough – they can do all the technical stuff right, but you know they’re just never going to sell – think of all the backing singers you’ve ever seen and ask yourself why they’re not centre front on that stage – it won’t be because they’re bad singers. As music fans we might like to proclaim live singing as the be all of everything, but in the real world most people just don’t go to that many gigs if any – what they hear is on CD, m** or radio. At least she’s due some credit for actually singing live – many others in the industry would just lip-synch the whole time.

I couldn’t watch more than 5 seconds of the video, but it of course it would be funny to hear people with no record contracts sound better than “The Princess.” To be honest, it only makes the record companies look even more shady. All they care about is money, not promoting people who can be legends because of their TALENT.

Its no good blaming the record companies they’re just delivering what the public want to buy – they don’t put stuff out unless they’re pretty certain people are going to lap it up – of course they get it wrong sometimes, but mostly not. One of the reasons for this is they don’t have the spare cash to gamble because of illegal downloads. Its no more ‘shady’ than any other industry – just look in your local supermarket – its not stocked to the roof with what you or I might think is good and healthy – its stocked with what people will buy – stuff like bright nuclear red strawberry drinks because people won’t buy stuff the colour of real strawberry juice.

OK – I’ve read the stuff on the links you posted and its not that far from what I’d thought before – as far as I can make out it goes like this
1st Chris receives a text message from another girl – I’ve not heard anyone say what was in the message, but what happens next suggests it wasn’t just Hi, how are you?
2nd RiRi sees the message and goes a** slapping and hitting out at Chris – now I know we’ve not seen a mugshot of him but it was said ‘he had no significant injuries’ – so yes RiRi started the violence so there’s some blame there – fine.
3rd Chris fights back punching her – presumably from her mugshot several times – now that sounds more than just fending her off to me – he could have done that by grabbing an arm or something – but anyway there’s retaliation there I think rather than just self-defence – so there’s some blame there too
Now like it says a jury would normally consider this an unfair fight, which to me being a girl seems reasonable – it may well not seem that way to a guy. Now I know this is nowhere near the top end of DV but still.
Perhaps the real problem people have with this is the fact that Chris suffered a worse fate than Mel or Charlie because of the colour of his skin and therefore they think he was treated harshly. My viewpoint is a little different I think he got about what was right, but I also think that Mel and Charlie if guilty as charged should be breaking rocks in orange jumpsuits (if you guys still have that stuff) – so yes the situation is racist, but notice only in favour of white MEN – the white WOMEN involved didn’t do so well out of it. OK I’m prepared to be told I’m talking total sh*t, but that’s just how it seems to this ‘off-white’ girl.

I’m not even gonna lie, I do like this song a lot, but the performance (like most of hers) was not the best. She doesn’t sound too good live and I have yet to hear a good live redition of this song. The crowd was drowning her ass out! What the hell is with all the hadn movements and stuff. She kills me with that , as if she is actually ‘killin’ it. I think that is what goes through her mind too. You appear to be a well meaning sort! Now with that said, I think your opinion regarding Chris Brown and his treatment is completely misguided! CHARLIE SHEEN has a 15 to 20 HISTORY OF ABUSE AGAINST WOMEN. He shot Kelly Preston, strangled a pregnant Denise Richards, beat the hell out of an Asian girlfriend (complete with pic of her battered face) and just held a knife to the throat of his 3rd wife. Yet, even in the mist of this latest abuse charge, he signed a 2 MILLION DOLLAR and episode contract to continue on the comedy show, 2 1/2 MEN!
MEL GIBSON has a history of all sorts of nasty and wicked behavior against EVERYONE, men and women but they are, even as I type this statement BLAZING A COMEBACK SCHEME FOR HIM! They have asked various ppl about working with him and letting them DRONE ON about how good he was in LETHAL WEAPON 1,2, & 3! When it came to Chris Brown they actually EDITED all POSITIVE MENTION of him from interviews and performances. For example, Kanye West in a VH1 Story Tellers episode said “we should all forgive Chris Brown he is young and mistakes happen” or something to that effect! VH1 COMPLETELY CUT THAT OUT OF THE LIVE BROADCAST! They all asked WHITE CELEBS & WEAK BLACKS like fat-ass, former CRACK SMOKER & PROSTITUTE Oprah Windfrey, SKANKY Tara “I sleep with married men yet preach sisterhood” Banks, Jamie FAKE and the rest of the dumb blacks they have propped up in American TV to provide biased commentary about Chris Brown.
Then there is Sean Penn who beat and rapped superstar Madonna during the course of their marriage. He suffered no consequences and just scored an OSCAR for bet male actor in 2009! Mickey Rourke beat his wife actress Carrie Otis for 2 1/2 years per her mouth but never suffered a day for that crime in fact in 2009 he scores a GOLDEN GLOBE for best actor. Steven Seagal beat the hell out of Kelly LaBrook on a movie set and never suffered for that crime. In fact in 2009 he scored the lead in the A&E drama the LAWMAN! I could go on and on about the ADULT MEN in AMERICAN society who have committed FAR WORSE SINS THEN TEENAGE Chris Brown but have never received the type media biased coverage and constant media hatred toward them.
You can believe whatever you like but I have witnessed this crap for damn near 2 year up close and personal living in the states and it has and continues to be atrocious! We can fool ourselves all we want about what’s actually going on!

Sorry I maybe didn’t make myself as clear as I could’ve – I was trying to say the same thing really as in Chris got a light punishment by the law because what he did wasn’t too bad – but then it was the media who set out to crucify him – that’s where the racist bit starts I think with the media not the law.
And yes those other guys should have been put on trial and if they’d been found guilty should have been given long jail sentences. Now the fact they never have been put on trial might come down to racism too – but I think its got more to do with the very low worth of a white girl in a white-dominated society – think if even Madonna was treated this way what does that tell you.
Dunno if there’s ANY validity in this next comment but…. is the treatment of Chris by some other black people partly due to black women having a higher status in black society than white women have in white society?
Hope that all makes some kind of sense.
^^ The only way to know this is if a famous interracial couple in which the man is white and the woman is black get into the same sort of drama. And something tells me that the outcome of the white man’s public image would be very different from Chris Brown’s.
What I also love is that most of the people crucifying Chris also blamed Rihanna for the incident. So it’s pretty obvious that all the hate against him isn’t in defense of Rihanna, it’s personal.

Yeah I knew he was driving – BUT, you just mentioned 2 facts that nobody ever told me or I never read anywhere… that it was on a MOTORWAY in a LAMBOURGHINI. Cause nobody had said any different I’d just thought it was in a normal car just going down a normal road – so I’d never understood why Chris didn’t just hit the brakes – in fact I thought he must have done that and then the fight carried on. OK – that does put a different perspective on things.
