Britney did have a huge following when she debuted, that’s obvious. I was actually speaking about how long it took for her to gain respect and not just been seen as an over exposed passing fad. Christina was seen as the one with the “real talent” when they were rivals in the beginning. Britney was expected to go down the same path as a Tiffany or Debbie Gibson(or the Spice girls). I wasn’t taking a stab at her, I was actually given her credit for proving herself and continuing to develop a strong body of work. I have to disagree with you on what you said about other artist trying to be immitate her, for heaven’s sake she’s Janet 2.0!
Does everyone with a clothing line or fragrance copy Jlo? I think she’s a mogul and she did do it first, but so many artist are branching out into other lucrative endeavors. Having a clothing line and scent is as common as finiding an singer who wants to go into acting these days.
Everyone is trying to work with Gaga?… I guess that’s why her request for a duet was turned down by Grace Jones and so many artist have spoken out against her (Katy Perry, M.I.A, Christina Aguilera, India Arie, Natalie Cole and Courtney Love to name a few) .
B, on Gaga’s dick… doubt it! She’d want Bey to join her at the MTV awards. It would only make her segment 10x more interesting! …From what I saw Gaga do at the GMA’s, she may need to warm up her vocals first. That mess of a performance will only cause for her to be embarrassed if they do collaborate.

@ Rated X, again Britney didn’t get thrown in the Queen of pop category after her debut. If anything it took her a while to be acknowledge as a princess! I’m not discrediting Britney, obviously you feel it necessary to prove something (perhaps because you feel that her status is declining). I’m making a point to say that after 1 album Gaga has been declared by some as a Queen of pop! I don’t care how much you sell, I’m not impressed until you have more than 1 hit album. I’ll be impressed when she continue to still make hits after the hype and is forced to win over fans again in new eras(like everyone else that stood the test of time).
B, have so much love for alot of female artist. She’s done so much with alot of them in the industry (Shakira, A.Keys, J Hud, Britney and Pink and Jlo). Why are you hung up on her collaboration with Gaga! You think it stays on her mind, when indeed I’m sure she’s on to the next!
