During an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning Lady GaGa revealed some surprising news. The chart monster let it slip that despite previously stating that she had completed her new album she has in fact returned to the studio and is considering releasing 2 records in 2011.
GaGa noted that her creative vigor was inspired by the overturning of California’s Proposition 8 last week. Check out what she had to say below:
“I felt like it was a revolution, like a gunshot went off, like it set us all into rotation,” Gaga said. “It was so exciting when it happened because it, for me, was a moment that indicated that it could happen in every state now…I was so happy and I went into the studio and kept writing [new music].”
She continued on to talk about how the new music would affect her forthcoming third album, that she has said in past interviews was already complete. “I know I told everybody my album was done, which is it kinda is done, but I can’t stop writing music. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might have to put out two records.” {Source}
2 new albums from GaGa in 2011 would definitely prove to be a bit much. After releasing LP’s in both 2008 and 2009, and embarking on a world tour that has yet to end, I sense that consumers would experience GaGa overload. It may, however, be more plausible to release a double disc album or a standard/deluxe edition combo. Hopefully she makes the right decision.

She clearly stated that she doesn’t know what she’s going to do.
That although shes already finished the first album, that she
has been recieving New inspiriation for new material, and writing
new material. Therefore, obviously she has enough for a full album
and possibly more. Alot of artists dont like alot of music on one album
because by the time the listener is finished, they are sick of that artist.
Or for whatever reason else that may come into their mind. But one thing
is true, in recording processes, alot of artists record tons of material, and
pick out of it. Obviously, she finished the album, gained alot of new inspiration
for new ideas, and decided that they are beautiful songs in whatever way,
and that they should not go unnoticed. Then she has to consider ways to
officially release it without it being an underground release. Too much on
one album sucks to some and is great to others. She can oversaturate
herself with a whole shitload of music on one album just as well depending
on the level of love, musical interest, and or tolerance level of the listener
that day. She has to know this. Therefore, putting out one album right at
the beginning of January 2011 to kick off the new year, release two Hot singles
for the first six months, and then in 6 months when everyone is starting to
crave a new sound, release her new sound on her later recorded album that
was derived from a different inspiration and outlook on life that took her in a different
musical state.

Doesn’t she know there is such a thing as overexposure? 2 albums within one year would DEFINITELY be overkill. Yes, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Why not release a new album like every 3 years? We all know that 2 of those years would be consumed by promotion & touring, and anyone who works as hard as she does NEEDS some time off, she can literally work herself to death if she’s not careful. If it’s a double album, then that would be counted as 1 album. But 2 separate ones released at different intervals wouldn’t be good. Some people are already complaining that she’s overexposed now. It would serve her better to keep a lower profile and leave ‘em wanting more, instead of begging her to go away.
