Now this is a surprise. Kim Kardashian has released a song. ‘Shake’ was produced by the Neptunes and will be featured on the socialite’s upcoming album. No joke. Give it a listen below:
The fact that I actually enjoyed that is the most shocking thing about this song. However, what made this record so impressive was the production. Laced with serious bass and an infectious melody, the song has serious club potential. Yes it sounds like a Britney Spears track (see the ‘Blackout’ album) but nothing is new under the sun anymore.
However, it’s obvious that Kardashian is not a talented singer by any means. Basically any other artist could have handled this song given the same about of studio assistance. Still, we haven’t heard everything that she has to offer yet. Hopefully she can do more than just take a pretty picture and chase after athletes.
Sam 2 Pence: For those questioning the validity of the Kardashian track: It IS indeed her, regardless of what’s being said. Industry politics 101. Why else would her label claim copyright infringement?

Being a singer myself, and spending countless hours in the studio with many ametuer female singers- there’s no way ANY producer, or ANY level will have the patience to endure working with someone who CAN’T sing.
