Just when Christina Aguilera’s career seemed to finally be on the rebound following her show-stopping performance at the Grammy Awards, the singer has reportedly been arrested.
The ‘Dirrty’ girl was booked for public intoxication at 2:45 am this morning in West Hollywood after her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, was arrested for driving under the influence. Aguilera was said to be so intoxicated that she was “unable to take care of herself”.

Aguilera was arrested at 2:45 AM and booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s substation on a misdemeanor charge. On the booking report, Aguilera was listed at 5’2″ and 100 pounds.
Aguilera’s 25-year-old boyfriend Matthew Rutler was also arrested last night at the same time for a misdemeanor offense. According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Rutler’s bail was set at $30,000.
Law enforcement sources tell us Aguilera appeared to be “extremely intoxicated” and was “unable to take care of herself.” However, the source adds, “If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.”
Sources close to Xtina tell us they have been trying to get the singer into a rehab program for weeks. {Source}

And people know I am not a fan of the girl, but this is bigger than what you feel about her entertainment product. She has been through a lot, going through a divorce, even if you initiate isn’t easy and a lot of other things have happened to her.
But I hope that this situation will get her in the right direction. Sometimes, adversity can be the thing that make someone who is not going to right direction get there and seek help doing so.
Okay, I see it, it was the driver, not her. Big difference. But…she could have been in worst trouble. I can speak on this so I am not being overly-dramatic. 5 years ago: A former acquiantance of mine was so drunk and I, stupidly I might add, got in the car with her and she was so tore up, she tore off her side window hitting another car while driving and then on she turn the wrong way on a side street and almost hit a car and THEN backing away from the car, hit a sign with the bumper.
Anytime I think on that day, I shutter. It changed my life too. I don’t drink anymore and I will not get into a car with someone who is drunk myself. So I am keeping it 100 when I say I hope C-Tina gets her life str8. I don’t want her die so young and especially not in this way.
