Pop entity Lady GaGa showcased her bravery today, by agreeing to and carrying out an interview with the controversial Howard Stern.

Lady Gaga on Howard Stern by GagaDirect

Kudos to GaGa for handling some of the more difficult questions with ease as many a starlet may not have responded so well to some of the more sensitive topics.

gaga has the worst scariest, sickest album covers and it doesn’t impress me. she seeks useless attention in all ways and her fans refuse to see that. I like some of her songs but I lost interest because i’d rather a plain gaga. I somehow hate the fact that her talent cannot be the main subject but her weird costumes. This is not good. She is known for craziness period and why can’t she be herself and dress like a lady? she can leave the costumes for the stage no problem. but as part of your daily life and then you sing a song “born this way” tell others to accept who they are?
leave her for people like me to interview her, she would not be able to answer half of my questions.

  4. JJFAN1814 July 18, 2011

WOW KIMBERLY, YOU SURE DID TAKE TIME OUT TO WRITE SUCH A “HATING” COMMENT ABOUT GAGA. SHE HAS YOU PRESSED THAT MUCH BBY???

SHE CAN WEAR A ZOO ON HER BODY IF SHE WANTS, PEOPLE DOES ACKNOWLEDGE HER FOR HER TALENTS…SONGWRITING, ARTISTRY AND SHOWS.

    THANKS.

  5. The Naked Truth July 18, 2011

    SHE IS AMAZING!!!!

I LISTENED TO THE WHOLE INTERVIEW.

Before you judge/hate this woman I recommend you listen to this.

  6. TeenyboppersAreDumb July 18, 2011

Howard Stern is a legend but why would he have this publicity w**** of very little talent on his show? She is so beneath him and does Howard really need to stoop so low like all the other mainstream media outlets? He’s an intelligent guy and he should nurture artists with integrity and originality not money hungry, publicity loving, fame obsessed people like Lady GaGa. Real artists that are in for the music don’t have to go to the lengths that Lady GaGa does. C’mon Howard, you can do SO much better!

  7. Jason Santoro July 18, 2011

Someone let me know if he asks her why she keeps copying Madonna and every other artist for that matter. And at what point that starts in the interview.

  8. YALL ARE TOO FAKE July 18, 2011

    @TeenyboppersAreDumb

You clearly didnt listen to the Interview at all, just couldnt wait to say sum hateful s***.
    GTFO f**

  9. RihannaNAVY July 18, 2011

She always gives the best interviews.
She’s 1 of the few stars who listens to the question & actually answers them instead of just reciting whatever script her PR team wrote her.

  10. Xadax July 18, 2011

Y’all forgot she said RETARDED on a mag interview.

  11. RihannaNAVY July 18, 2011

Please, ain t nuthin wrong with using the word “retarded”. People are so politically correct nowadays.
It’s not the N-word or the F-word (gay).
Seriously, I don’t see people going out there committing hate crimes against mentally disabled people.
That word was never used out of hatred.

Soon, we won t be allowed to use the word “ugly” anymore. We’ll have to say “aesthetically challenged”

    Let’s be serious people!

  12. Istan4goodmusic July 18, 2011

If lady gaga is a w**** what is Howard stern? A w**** himself! Plz don’t make me laugh like howard stern is some sort of victim with his dirty mouth and mind. He’s had naked women on his show popping ballons with their bare asses. Disgusting man!

  13. Istan4goodmusic July 18, 2011

@yallrtoofake LOL. Teenybopper really defines that user obviously!

  14. Lady Caca July 18, 2011

Howard Stern is such a faker. Before, he would rip Lady Gaga for her outfits, and even her HBO special where they made fun of her. Now, he’s licking her ass. Would have expected this to be explosive, but it’s just another s***** interview. Her NME interview was much better in revealing who Gaga is than this.

  15. Istan4goodmusic July 18, 2011

@teenyboppersaredumb just goes to show what a stupid imbecile you rly are. Maybe you are just too out of the loop to realize what a huge star lady gaga is in the world right now. Who wouldn’t want to interview her? And only narrowminds call pop artists non-artists just because their music is “popular”. But ppl do little research on lady gaga and are quick to throw shade at her just because the attire she wears seems gimmicky. That doesn’t mean she isn’t a real artist. And there are lots of artists with talent that have some sort of “gimmick” to get to the place they are. Do your research, asshole. Lady gaga is classically trained in music, composes, writes, and is the genius behind almost every piece of work she puts out. THAT is what defines a real artist.

  16. royalkev July 18, 2011

This was actually a good interview! Her interviews are the only thing I’m impressed with when it comes to anything Gaga. I think I’d like her so much more if she was the host of a talk show or just a reality star. I’m just not buying into her image or her music. That’s not very honest – but when she is just being plain ‘ole Stephanie, I think there are traces of it.

    I agree 100% with Royalkev

  18. Robot July 18, 2011

    Lady Gay Gay is a TRASH , b!tches !!!! 😀

  19. Those That Cannot Do, Stan July 18, 2011

Amazingly her music never catches up to her image. She goes out of her way to be crazy physically but her music is just a few steps above Britney Spears, she’s not challenging herself and considering some of her current peers (especially UK artists) she’s like this watered down version for the shallow American public who will look at her and go “Well she looks like she’s doing something really different.”

Interesting interview but Gaga has never shown me she’s truly evolving (sorry pilling on tons of makeup and costumes isn’t evolving). Alejandro was an interesting step but since then its all been downhill.

  20. Stefani July 18, 2011

@thosethatcannotdostan actually her music is a few steps below Britney’s. At least some people enjoy Britney’s new album. The nicest thing I heard about Lady Gaga’s new album is that it’s “not thaaaat bad”.

  21. LACEFRONCE. 4CLOSURE+BORN TO FLOP=BIGGEST FLOPS OF THE YEAR. July 18, 2011

Caca is struggling to stay relevant after 3 years. His next album will be sold for .50. What a shame that Born To Flop could only sell 170k in the 2nd week when it should have sold at least 300k for selling 1 million in the first week. Proof that his music is pure & utter s*** and no one would have bought it without the discount.

    LACEFRONCE has spoken

  22. ISTANN4GAGA(CAUSE BEY LIKES TO PARTY!) July 18, 2011

    I’m Baaack!!!!!

LOL,I LOVE when gaga does interviews…..

I see LaceFLOP(Buffet Slayer) is back with a new name…

I also see someone with a similar name as me lolol

  23. ERIC July 18, 2011

i love gaga but i ain’t gonna listen to an 88 min interview. if it was a video i’d watch it.

  24. King B July 18, 2011

Howard Stern is a fake-ass m***********. My God. I wonder if TGJ will do the same amount of ass-kissing should they ever have the opportunity to interview Rihanna.

I quite enjoyed listening to Gaga talk, though. And I’m glad she’s been notified of how a lot her Little Monsters behave like actual monsters.

  25. King B July 18, 2011

    * a lot OF her Little Monsters behave like actual monsters.

  26. ERRR?! July 19, 2011

i though she was friends with beyonce buh she said elton john is pretty much her only celebrity friend + that shade bout telephone being her worst effort yet not reading into stuff jus a little like ‘hmm’ whats going on here? cos in that beyonce interview with piers morgan she talked briefly bout how she loves gaga

  27. King B July 19, 2011

    @ ERRR?!:

I thought I was the only one who noticed that! She has said in a previous interview that Beyoncé is one of the only (or THE only) real friends she has in the music business because everyone else so fake. She didn’t have to specifically mention Bey in this interview, but it would’ve made more sense to say that Elton is one of the very few friends she has in showbiz.

  28. James Pease July 19, 2011

Lady Gaga , You did a terrific job on Howard Stern. Also the singing was great as always. You’re a genius!

  29. ERRR?! July 19, 2011

    @ KING B

true but she was like ‘he’s pretty much the only one’ + i remember that interview she spoke about bey but that was in the TELEPHONE era buh then again she would be plugging bey if she mentioned her + it cud b one of those things were she genuinely didn’t remember or count it as anything not to mention her…

  30. JW July 19, 2011

I love Howard Stern. I listen to him every day. I always appreciated Gaga’s entertainment skills. But I really enjoyed learning more about her life from this interview. I thought it was a very good interview on both of their parts. Gaga answered almost all of Howard’s questions and the ones she didn’t want to answer, she didn’t. Howard’s success has come from the fact that he’s so honest and says what’s on his mind. He and Gaga have that in common. The interview left me liking them both more than I did before.

  31. TeenyboppersAreDumb July 19, 2011

I did listen to the interview. Obviously Lady GaGa has many of you fooled. You are eating out of her hand and buying her BS. I’m one of the smart ones that isn’t. In her new single, she’s ripping off yet another artist. This time it’s Pat Benatar and her song “Promises In The dark”. Why are some people so gullible and naive?! Get a clue, folks!

  32. TeenyboppersAreDumb July 19, 2011

@Istan4goodmusic just goes to show what a stupid imbecile you rly are. Maybe you are just too out of the loop to realize what a huge star lady gaga is in the world right now.

    * I could care less. She lacks originality and her so-called music is auto-tuned and digitized to the extreme. Her lyrics aren’t bad but the unoriginal techno-pop music leaves alot to be desired.

Who wouldn’t want to interview her?

    * Me or anyone with integrity.

And only narrowminds call pop artists non-artists just because their music is “popular”.

    * I never said that. I happen to like alot of Adult Pop music from the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s.

But ppl do little research on lady gaga and are quick to throw shade at her just because the attire she wears seems gimmicky.

    * Well, it comes with the territory. If an artist uses gimmicks, they’re musical integrity is going to be questioned. If their music is good, why do they have to use a gimmick or do things for publicity? The band “Kiss” is a prime example. I like “Kiss” but clearly there are many bands that are better musically.

That doesn’t mean she isn’t a real artist. And there are lots of artists with talent that have some sort of “gimmick” to get to the place they are.

    * And there are plenty of musicians that don’t have gimmicks because they don’t need ’em. Their music has substance and does most of the talking. They also don’t have to be carried in an egg to an award show to garner publicity and sell records.

Do your research, asshole. Lady gaga is classically trained in music, composes, writes, and is the genius behind almost every piece of work she puts out. THAT is what defines a real artist.

I’ve done my research. I know quite a bit about music and I own over 1,000 albums. In my opinion, Lady GaGa is a performance artist. As a pure musician though…she is seriously lacking.

  33. Alex July 19, 2011

God her live of Hair was just, awe-amazing. She truly is talent. She is the pop-star we needed. God thank you so much for Gaga. Gaga you are my life and I love you so much. I would die for you without a thought. 🙂 I F****** LOVE YOU GAGA WITH ALL MY BEING!!!!!! I F****** LOVE YOU!!!!!! (“)(“)

  34. Amanda Ross July 20, 2011

SERIOUSLY how can you doubt that she has talent after listening to her sing live on here? She sounds SPECTACULAR! She sounds better live than she does on the album!

One of the most talents artists EVER. I love her so much.

  35. Reality-bites July 21, 2011

Some interesting comments, if only to show the subjective nature of criticism. I was indifferent to GaGa until this interview and subsequent live delivery of the songs, neither of which by the way, appear even the slightest ‘ripoff’ of Pat Benetar. Some people hate Howard Stern, some hate Lady Gaga, yet, in all likelyhood you listen to neither in any depth. There are elements of envy and jealously, hero worship and some of ego ‘I have a thousand albums and therefore I’m an expert in all types of music’
Tennyboppersaredumb is a prime example of someone who has become jaded to the point of hatred, hating the aging process, hating the life that has passed by, hating teenyboppers for being young and enthusiastic. I’ll bet there was a time when you were a fan of something/someone, I’ll bet there was enthusiasm at one time on some of your trips around the Sun. I agree with the hate of the autotuner, and the fickle industry in general, but as for hating the music, the clothing, the look, claiming rip off at every turn, the dumbness of fans? That is more an indication of self loathing than any particular indication of reality. Good interview, good talent.

  36. Amanda July 26, 2011

“I’ve done my research. I know quite a bit about music and I own over 1,000 albums. In my opinion, Lady GaGa is a performance artist. As a pure musician though…she is seriously lacking.”

Quality over quantity, dear. Preform like this woman and then you can talk about talent and performance. You just sound like a self-righteous conceited 12 year old when you say things like this.

  37. meechellla July 27, 2011

Lady Gaga…… you are a blessing to this world…. thank you. And Howard, thank you for being a sweetheart 🙂 This was such a great interview… Loved it .. Xoxo~`;`~

  38. meechellla July 27, 2011

This post is a REPLY to “TEENYBOPPERSAREDUMB”….
My friend…..I feel there is no integrity in your opinion any longer…..
I see in one of your posts that you actually say –>”In her new single, she’s ripping off yet another artist. This time it’s Pat Benatar and her song “Promises In The dark”. Why are some people so gullible and naive?! Get a clue, folks!”
…I just listened to Pat Benatar’s song “Promises in the Dark”. There is nothing ripped off from this song. NONE of Gaga’s songs sound like this. Why do you mention “rip off”? Why because someone is playing a piano in Promises in the dark? or because Gaga & Pat are both women? Or that they both have a great voice… Come on.. I don’t want to be a hater, but honestly..take your own advice & GET A CLUE buddy…..you siLLy jerk …Xoxoxo ~`;`~

  39. TEENYBOPPERSAREDUMB August 6, 2011

I’m not that old. I’m only 32 years of age. I’m not a hater in the least. I’m very openminded and have a broad range of music taste. Everything from Classical, Jazz, Soul, Pop, Rock, and everything in between. As long as the music has substance to some degree, I will and do appreciate it. However, I do not like so-called artists that are unoriginal, lacking in musical depth, and are specifically in it for money, publicity, and fame. In my opinion, that is the real Lady GaGa. I just refuse to be a gullible sucker that buys into her phoniness for profit. I like artists of integrity who are in it for the music first and foremost which is why I won’t be listening to “Lady GaGa” or “Poison” any time soon. In my opinion, Lady GaGa fans need to seriously take a history lesson in music.

In reply to Amanda, If you want to know about immense talent and performance…look no further than “Freddie Mercury”, dear!

MEECHELLA, I was barely listening to one of her new songs in the background when I nearly fell out of the chair in shock because that song OBVIOUSLY was a rip-off of Pat Benatar’s “Promises In The dark”. The chord structure, melody, the singing…it’s all the same. Except the lyrics. You are the one that needs to get a clue.

    • Hary November 26, 2012

“I was listening to ONE OF HER NEW SONGS…” – You’re truly an EXPERT! You’re just a joke, dear. You don’t even know what are you talking about. But I’ll tel you, “My Sweet Lord” (George Harrison) sounds exact like “He’s so fine (Chiffons), and “Stairway to Heaven” (Led Zeppelin) sounds exactly like “Taurus” (Spirit). And “Come Together” (John Lennon) sounds exactly like Chuck Berry’s “You Cant Catch Me”. And “Black or White” (M. Jackson) sounds exactly like “It’s all to much” (Gearge Harrison), and etc. Nonetheless all these musicians are GREAT. Examples of similarities in pop-rock and even classic music are countless.
