I don’t know why i ever listen to this girls stuff expecting quality. Her voice didn’t mesh well with the beat. And she needs to learn how to write/buy a catchy hook because her music should be soemthing people can sing along to since she is going for single artist material…kinda like a white female version of future. She needs to think about her audience and how to deliver music that will reach to the masses because she can’t get the type of underground/mixtape hype of a Nicki or Azealia because she’s not that talented. Plus im not to sure if she knows what the word passive-aggressive, because if she did i don’t think thats a quality she would admire in a sexual partner. Well i hope not atleast.

She cannot rap and frankly she should stick to modeling or something that doesn’t require her to open her mouth and actually speak. I’m over these flavor of the month “rappers” that never go anywhere and are a complete waste of time and money.

    • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

and on top of that this blog hasn’t even posted a link to the song that actually works.

    • FAFRELOADED July 23, 2012

EXACTLY!!! SHE WILL FLOP!! DEAD @ ppl claiming this is who’s coming to “SNATCH NICKI’S WIG” b**** plz…

      • EJ July 23, 2012

        ok!

  3. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 23, 2012

I LOVE IT! I hope that either this song or ‘Murda Bizness’ will be her first big hit. It’s great. 😀

P.S : Mike Posner sounds like the passive smoker version of Ke$ha, though.

    • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

This song is absolute trash and the fact that you find it enjoyable says a lot about how far the quality of music has fallen in recent years.

      • ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 23, 2012

Exactly. If it was released 10 years ago, I wouldn’t bother. But compared to how repetitive and generic all the other hip hop tracks are right now, I find this quite good. It has a great beat and it stands out. If you don’t like it, you need to keep your opinion for yourself. We’re all entitled to an opinion of our own.

      • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

You don’t need to tell me what I should or should not comment on, on a PUBLIC blog. If you make a statement that I agree or disagree with and I feel compelled to comment then I will do so. End of discussion.

      • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

Also your excuse for liking this petulant, trashy music is the exact reason that it is being released in the first place. If you don’t demand a higher quality of music as a listener and consumer then why should anyone feel motivated to produce better material if you’re going to listen to and purchase mediocre material simply because you deem it to be “different” from what is on the radio at the moment? People such as yourself should remember that just because something is “different” sounding in your opinion doesn’t make it anything of a higher quality or something deserving of praise and purchase.

      • ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 23, 2012

I didn’t forbid you to express your opinion. I told you that if you don’t like the song, you don’t need to respond to me pretty much telling me that I shouldn’t like it. That’s what I meant to say. I don’t know how you interpreted it, though.

I find the song solid. You find it horrible. Each to their own.

      • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

Did I ever say that you don’t have a right to like any song of your choosing? I simply said that your musical taste is questionable and that your rationale behind liking trashy music (such as the song mentioned above) is weak. Don’t try and twist my words into something which I did not say.

      • ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 23, 2012

So, you said that I have the right to like it, but if I do, that means that my taste is horrible and that I listen to trash. Classy.

You can’t judge my entire musical taste based on ONE comment. I’m listening to a lot of different genres and appreciate many different sounds. This song, given urban music’s current standards, is solid. The lyrics and not good, but the beat is great and her tone is suitable.

I can listen to whatever I want. The same applies to you. Now can we stop arguing about it?

      • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

Well, if you truly enjoy songs such as the one above then, yes, your musical taste is questionable at best. You always want to try and twist people’s statements into something that is false or better suits your argument and I’m just letting you know that I don’t particularly care for your brand of conversation or debate.

I have an opinion and obviously I state it freely. If you dislike my comments then you know to keep scrolling and not reply. What you will not do is be disrespectful and tell me that I should keep my opinion to myself on a blog that encourages commentary from users.

      • ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 23, 2012

I didn’t mean to tell you to keep your opinion for yourself and reading my comment again, it came across incorrectly, so I’m sorry about that. I don’t know why you generalize so much, though and I don’t care for your brand of debate either if that’s the case.

Just because I like this song, you call my taste in music questionable.
Just because I don’t agree with you, you’re telling me that I’m ALWAYS twisting people’s comments as if you’ve read all the comments I’ve ever posted.

I don’t get your stance at all tbh and that’s not disrespectful. It’s just my opinion.

        Anyway… ➡

      • Honestly Speaking July 23, 2012

First of all, I did not generalize you or your taste in music. I said exactly what I meant, which is that for someone who supposedly has such a wide range and variety of music at their disposal, such as yourself, why or how you would be able find anything about this crass tune enjoyable is beyond me.

I’ve seen some of your comments in previous posts and generally this is your line of attack: twisting an argument to suit your purposes. I don’t agree with the method of debate that you use because I feel that two grown people should be able to have an intelligent conversation without having to stoop to childish levels.

I don’t really understand your stance on this subject either outside of the fact that you feel (interestingly enough) that people should keep their opinions to themselves on a blog that encourages user interaction. But, yes, we really should move on… 🙂

    • Noel July 23, 2012

@Honestlyspeaking honestly speaking, I’m over your faux criticisms. People have different tastes, and are free to like whatever the hell they want. Stop being so pretentious.

      • Nika July 23, 2012

        @Noel…THANK U!!

  4. Os July 23, 2012

    she a do her thing.

  5. Try Again.. July 23, 2012

I’m still tryna get used to her flow, but she’s been coming out with some good songs. Does anyone know if she and AS^P Rocky are/were actually a thing? He was asked about her on the red carpet at the B.E.T. awards and kinda denied it…

  6. Try Again.. July 23, 2012

Lol@ “ASAP” you just said we’re all entitled to an opinion, but told someone to keep them to themselves..huh? but I agree I don’t think the song is too bad, it’s smooth. Now if only she had a smooth flow to go wit it..

    • Try Again.. July 23, 2012

      *theirs

  7. Dlux July 23, 2012

I really dont understand how people will call this “Trash” yet call “Starships” a hit? Did I miss something?

I like Iggy . I like her a lot. I follow her on twitter and she is one real ass chick.
What I dont understand is how people are so racist towards her because she is white. Instead of embracing the musics all people see is race. Real sad that we will never get passed the whole Black and White thing.

We need to start seeing each other as people and not races.

    • FAFRELOADED July 23, 2012

it is a hit, says billboard… murda TRASHness has NOT ever touched anything and NEVER WILL! PERIOD!

  13. LTM July 23, 2012

I love it, very s***. This was a good match up. Id like to see her collab with other females in the game like Trina or Missy. I heard Kim was a fan. And before people start complaining that she only raps about s** let me remind you this song and P**** are her only s** themed songs.

  14. MACHAVIEL July 23, 2012

    Go Iggy We Love It!!!!

  15. kelly July 23, 2012

This hot and s***. The funny thing, that ugly dark skin Azelaia has a song about white men, but white men would rather take this hit blonde over that bald wig wearing hoodrat. Iggy will make it.

  16. aishaaguilerakeys July 23, 2012

    It’s ok.

  17. yeyay July 23, 2012
