After warming up the masses with promotional singles ‘Sorry’ and ‘Got Me Good’ last Fall, Ciara is putting the finishing touches to her eagerly awaited fifth album, ‘One Woman Army’.
Due later this year, the project was formally “introduced” to European taste-makers last week by the singer herself. As such, ever keen to ask the questions you really want answers to, we caught up with the stage blazer during her London run with Livebase.

Makes sense to me… I’m not exactly sure why Cici would be blacklisted either, but I do think it’s an uphill battle for her. I honestly feel like several successful, TALENTED artists were just given a hard time by the end of the last decade /early 2010. Cici just happens to be one of them. It’s like no matter what great music these artists come out with it’s something there not allowing them to get their fair share of attention. @ edward, BS, she started saying that last month. I seen tons of Ciara’s interview and when people bring up Janet, she say “Well, I been more influence by Michael. She’s full of it, just like years about she said that DC inspired her to go into singing, now she say “well, they didn’t realy inspired me, it was more of a I can do this.” Just like her last two single weren’t single, just buzz. Just like BI was her best work, til it flopped and now it “It shouldn’t had been released.” That’s why people don’t like her or care to buy her stuff, cause she’s fake, and I don’t mean as in a “Beyonce is fake” way, I mean she don’t stick with what she says. Her album is done, but they can’t get a hit on the air, no one shoot two videos for buzz singles, WTF is a buzz single? Never heard of it, I thought your first SINGLE was the buzz, that’s why it’s the single. The only thing I think she can do it scrap the album, release it as a mixtape, find a new sound that’s not pop nor urban hip hop, but something different and that is Ciara. Get a look that is Ciara and not an Aaliyah and Janet mixed with Kim K rip off. Last, get on the road, even with a mix tape, she’s a performer right? then perform!!!!! Get on 106 (it shouldn’t be hard) Youtube and whatever else. Remind people that she’s Ciara and not only that, but the new Ciara. Saw how she stepped it up on the Evolution, change it up again.

LOL at the Rihanna always quick to run and comment on Ciara’s posts and idk why Ciara fans insist on arguing with them, don’t ya’ll know it’s the same fag who just keeps typing a different username everytime he logs in. So what that Ciara hasn’t a had huge hit in years, she’s still relevant. Every big artist has flop singles and albums. Flopped Beyonce singles: Dangerously in Love, Upgrade U, Get Me Bodied, Green Light, Listen, Broken Heart Girl, Why Don’t You Love Me, Video Phone. Flopped Rihanna singles: Let Me, We Ride, If I Never See Your Face Again, Rockstar 101, Wait Your Turn, Cockiness, Man Down. Not once did Ciara or her team/label ever say Sorry and GMG were promo singles, they were the lead singles, they just didn’t chart. Not once did Ciara or her team/label say the album was being released in the fall/winter, they said they were planning for a fall/winter release date. Obviously, they’re still working on the album. I highly doubt her team would’ve had go to Europe and promote a project that isn’t being released anytime soon. I’m pretty sure the album will be released in May. A lot of sources in Europe said she performed the new singles, but they’re not revealing what it is. The album is actually complete, they’re just making sure everything is right this time. Ciara can still drop like 4-5 singles off this album: Overdose, One Woman Army, Boy Outta Here, Super Turnt Up, Wash Away and Only One have all gotten really good reviews. She’s seem more sure of herself and confident this time around. All she has to do is put in the work. Drop hot singles, promo and market the singles and album, makes awards shows appearances, magazine spreads, TV/radio interviews, etc and she’ll be fine, nobdoy got to top by just sitting around doing nothing.

I think since her last album came out in 2010, and did not do good, she should have went to work on her own and put out a good mixtape in 2011. Then performed in every place she could have just to keep her name and music out there. So on top of having your last two albums not sell or produce real singles, she juts fell off the radar and I think fans would be checking for her and have real respect for her as an artist if she just said fuck it I am going to make people check for me.

ciara albums fantasy ride and basic instinct didnt do well…but i guess people dont know about music history because many artists have a time period (an album or two) that dont sell…mariah during the whole glitter time period and even Tina turner after she left ike turner she was working as a club singer for years before she came back with the hit “What’s love got to do with it” and besides ciara, Rihanna and Beyonce are all young…patti labelle had hits and misses in her career, so did whitney, gladys knight, Janet and etc. point is just because you have a weak period doesnt mean you just give up…man i swear people in this generation give up to easily lol I’m for Ciara, Rihanna and Beyonce…i hope ciara does well because although i love all these ladies riri is all over the radio and so is Bey and sometimes you want something different, like a different sound to listen to thats all
