One year ago, Danity Kane were gearing up to hit the road on their ‘No Filter Tour.’ Fast forward to today and the climate is altogether different.
The group have once again disbanded and its members have spun off in different directions.
For Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex, the journey continues as a duo – which they’ve named Dumb Blonde.
Billed as a Pop/Electronic outfit, the pair are planning to debut a visual EP later this month.
Interestingly, they’ve roped in DK’s ex-manager to shepherd their career.

Per O’Day, Justin Timberlake‘s manager Johnny Wright has signed on as the ladies manager.
Many will remember Wright during his stint as part of the Danity Kane camp during Making The Band. He would go on to manage the group until their first disbanding in 2008. He briefly returned to the position when the girls reformed as a four-piece in 2013. That agreement dissolved due to a dispute with the quad preceding the release of comeback single ‘Lemonade.’
Time will tell if it proves a fruitful union.
Wasn’t Johnny originally managing Aubrey when she went solo and she still flopped hard? Now theres another person he can go and fail to make happen LOL. Anyways DumbBlonde should travel overseas and try to appeal to the Eurodance market, Ibiza would eat them up.

Hmmmm… she only had 1 charting single out 5 singles she was on, and her EP did hit the top 100, so what is flopping by your standards? I’m just calling it like it is, if she and Shannon want to truly close the DK chapter they should really be hiring fresh faces. By the looks of it she’s trying to completely change her look and style and re-sell us broken goods we didn’t buy the first time (Unless you were 1 of the 15k that bought her album, if so my bad lol)

Aubrey signed a record deal after her reality tv show, that did not go anywhere, she was dropped. Danity Kane reunion buzz helped her a lot because she released her EP during that time, capitalising on the buzz. No one was checking for Aubrey musical endeavours lets be honest.
She was dropped by the new C.E.O of the record label she was signed to. She released stuff on her own without the label helps. No matter how you guys take it she’s had the highest peak position on the billboard 200 than any other dk girl

So Proud of Aubrey and Shannon aka Dumblonde, they have really worked so hard, I read many reviews from fans who went to there listening party and every single fan said the music was amazing! This isn’t a flash in the pan project for them, they are tuyly are brand new duo who plan to be around for awhile! There new sound is very international so i hope they do come to europe and focus on the world, not just America!
will say I was kinda iffy about a twosome with these two I actually went to their release and their music is AMAZING honestly it is so great they just have the IT factor it’s very mainstream and dancey yet with urban undertones Travis Garland which is Aubrey BF has them singin alotta harmonies and Backgrounds so it is amazing honestly I wish we coulda taken R phones in but we couldn’t but the music is gonna slay !!!!
Aubrey didnt flop lets compare tbh She is the only one who was still booking red carpets tv spots and others. Automatic has sold more then Dawn’s songs. Her EP had no promo it sold 3k its first week the same amount as dawn’s album that had tons of promotion. Neither are the Beyonce but if Aubrey and shannon stick this out and do it right they could become that. Also aubrey’s networth is more than dawn so….

Well he is a proven manager, but look how many Mariah Carey has went thru over the years. Whomever was before Jackson, Randy jackson, Jermaine Dupri, and now a new set of managers.
If Wright has been with Timberlake since 2003, thats something to be proud of, and also DK was massive during their MTB run. Just saying if he has had success he can find it again. They’re not trying to be the next Rihanna/Katy Perry IMO.
Booking red carpets and D list Tv spots aren’t achievements darling. Aubrey is a z lister so y’all still in this z list mind frame when discussing these things. I know all what Aubrey did because I WAS a fan back then waiting for her to blow up but she never did.
Kim K is an amateur pornstar made it to vogue, has a massive empire and brand all over the world, that’s what I am talking about. Aubrey has not done 1 percent of that and the sad thing is she had the opportunity to do so but she wasted a crucial moment fresh and hot out of DK split and that moment is not coming back.
Dawn won me over with her indie masterpiece GoldenHeart which sold 30K world wide. Dawn and Aubrey are apples and oranges. They never had the same ambition and never will.

Well lets be fair, if the girls were still signed to bad boy post break up, it would be hard to do anything when you are still on contract to someone u were “fired” from. Lol Shannon is a nice girl, I like her and she improved a lot over the years, but her star quality, well, she has none of that. I don’t know why anyone would want to be in a group with her. In fact, that person is better off by them self collecting all their checks. Shannon was a filler in DK and most people who like her will admit that.
